"Outstanding. We shopped around, researched, and got a lot of advice however we were never convinced. We went to Carpets Galore who gave us advice on the type flooring we needed, quoted us a decent price, ordered the material and installed it exactly when scheduled. Every one was professional and the completed work outstanding."

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"Provider was very, very nice. He did all rooms to satisfaction. I was hoping the carpets would look a bit fresher, but that isn't necessarily his fault. I liked that there were no harmful chemicals. He was professional and considerate and I would call again. <br />"

"We didn't have any problem with the actual carpet installation. However, there was a problem with moving the furniture. We have several pieces of large/heavy furniture. We discussed this with the person who gave us the initial estimate who assured us that they would send the correct people to deal with it. Unfortunately that didn't occur and it turned what could have been a one day job into a three day job. It finally all got done but it could have been handled a lot better."

"I don’t recall exactly how much I paid.  It went really well.  We had little bit of a problem when we needed their help after the installation.  We had an area in the front of our master bedroom and double French doors that lead to the pool; I wanted two rows of tiles to be put in front of the door to match the tiles in the master bathroom.  So I included that work for the master bathroom.  The bathroom contractor came out and he cut the carpet and he was just going to put down tacking strips.  Then he reattached the carpets.  They did a nice job of the carpets.  We will consider using their services again in the future."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Indian Springs, NV

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
