"Brian and his son, Colin, went above and beyond what I was expecting with my shower door repair. They helped diagnose the problem, called Lowe’s customer service and even asked if they could take my old door. As we wait for the custom door to arrive, they will be engaged to help me finish the repair. Personal, professional and practical - two great people to work with."

"We heard from a mutual friend that Mike was looking to start up his window restoration & repair business again. They had a good experience with him a few years back. We recently purchased an older home which is not in a historic area, but which by age is "historic". We are looking to make improvements on the exterior before starting on the interior. So we are speaking to various contractors about window, siding and roofing. We want to maintain the character of the house. We have looked at vinyl windows, which would in many ways be a good choice, but they are just not the same as the windows we have, which are original. We asked Mike to come out and look at our windows. After looking at the windows, he showed us briefly what he had found, explained his restoration process and what we could expect. He said our windows restored to "as new" condition. And, with a good warranty. We received an estimate to restore all the windows; and, a separate price to restore those most in need of work. At the moment, we are weighing our options, but Mike was knowledgeable and thorough. We will be doing something w/ him in the Spring, once we have reviewed all out options and decided on a budget."

"Mark Spencer checked our exterior door that had become difficult to lock and unlock. He identified possible solutions that we will try to pursue with the door installer. I wish we had used Legacy Window & Door when we had the door installed in 2015."

Mandi did an exceptional job, when she was done with my Ford Explorer it looked like it had just come off of the show room floor!

I bought the detailing through an offer on Angie's list and opted to pay extra for the deep shampooing and carpet cleaning.  From our first contact, to setting the appointment and completing the work, Mandi was a true professional.  We used Angie's List email tool to communicate and every time I sent and email with a question, Mandi was very quick to respond.  When I was finally ready to schedule an appointment, she bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule.

The day of the appointment, she ran just a bit late, explaining that her first job took her longer than expected.  I wasn't home when Mandi did the work, but my wife said she worked virtually non-stop, and even quipped that as closely as Mandi inspected her work, she half expected Mandi was going to pull out a magnifying glass.  Given the attention to detail she paid to my car, I'm not surprised that she was a little late from her first job....she strives for perfection!

She was meticulous in the attenton she paid to every nook and cranny of my vehicle.  For example, if you own an Explorer, you know that when you open any door, the interior door frame is always muddy & dirty from splash that gets up in the car's interior...but you can only see it when a door is open.  It would be very easy to overlook, but all four door areas were spotless.

The dashboard had a luster on it that made it look showroom new.  There are two cup holders behind the gear shift and the area around them was pretty dirty, with a couple of coffee stains.  Again, down inside of the cup holders would have been an easy area to overlook, but not Mandi, they were spotless.

I requested the carpet "deep cleaning" service and the carpeting looked flawless throughout.  I half expected that she might have "hurried" on the carpet in the back of the car (what is exposed when you drop the 2nd & 3rd row seats) but not Mandi, there just simply was not a single spot on the car, interior or exterior, that I could say was overlooked.  I wish she would branch out into house cleaning!  When I consider the entire job, there really was only one problem in using Mandi's car detailing service: now I don't want to take my car out of the garage!

My car was just a Ford Explorer, but whether I owned an ordinary vehicle, a high end car or a collector's classic, I would whole heartedly and enthusiastically recommend Mandi for anyone that is a perfectionist when it comes to their car. Mandi will come to your home or place of business, but if you want the deep cleaning carpet service, you will have to be near an outlet for her equipment, which is why although I originally was going to have my car detailed at work (on the north side of Indianapolis) I ended up having her come to my home.  That was a lot more inconvenient for her (work would have been a lot closer) but she was very eager to accommodate and it turned out well for us.

"Ashlee did an excellent job cleaning my apartment after I moved out. After weeks of messing with packing and moving, the last thing you want to worry about is the deep clean needed to deal with all the years of mess. She was punctual, professional, and very thorough in her cleaning. When she was finished, the apartment looked like brand-new. Her great work made my life much easier."

"I met with Joe for an estimate and he arrived on time as said.
Joe said he would get back with an estimate shortly but did explain his estimate load was heavy and to give him a week or
two to respond with some good numbers. I had no problem with this as i was not in a rush to start.
The Bathrooms by Design team showed up on the start date and worked well until the job was complete.
We encountered a couple bumps along the way such as water location for new drain, as soon as Joe arrived he took no time to
solve the problem as he cut right into the concrete and moved drain same day. No messin around!!
Overall things went great, had no problems giving full access to my home as we trusted them.
Finished product was more than our monies worth!!

"Mr. Bill Schwenzer and his brother, Tom, demolished the bathtub area, removed the tile floor, installed new sub floor, removed the vanity top, raised the vanity a few inches, installed 12"x24" tiles in tub area with a niche, installed 18"x18" tiles on the floor, installed new baseboards and shoe mold, organized plumber for installation of  new tub, toilet, sink and shower faucets.  Bill and Tom always prompt and efficient.  We had a few challenges with the location and size of the niche because of some electrical wires in the wall, but it worked out well after all.  They were very meticulous in their work, cleaned up after themselves, and especially wanted to be sure we were satisfied AND happy with the job.  Not only were they polite and friendly with us (and the family dog), they were also polite and friendly with each other.  They are trustworthy and honest gentlemen, which is hard to find these days.   Everything is GREAT!

Guest Bathroom Remodel total cost:  Approx. just under $9,000*

This was the 1st time I did a major remodel on my 1st home.  After meeting with several contractors I selected Bob Slater and his company Baths N Such.  Bob was neither the lowest nor the highest price.  He was in my mind, after meeting with him and reading his other Angie?s List Reviews, the most down to earth, professional, considerate, talented and knowledge worthy.  And this high opinion of him was only confirmed again during and after my project was completed.

He was kind enough to provide a list of suggested places where I could go to find tile, plumbing fixtures, etc.  For the tile he suggested the Tile Shop in Indianapolis and they were fabulous, specifically the design consultant Linda, whom Bob has worked with on many occasions.  As I slowly piecemealed this bathroom remodel together ? figuring out what kind of tile, if I wanted decorative shelves in the shower, what kind of faucets, what color paint, if the lighting would work - you name it, I had a question for it - Bob was extremely patient and helpful during the entire process.  He was always very responsive to any messages I left for him and he never made me feel that my questions were silly or unnecessary.

Because of him I gained the confidence to help put this remodel together and I am very proud of how it turned out.

After the project was complete he followed up to make sure I was happy with everything.  One thing I didn?t like was the toilet seat that came with the new toilet.  Not Bob?s fault in any way but I just didn?t like the plastic seat.  He had a key to my house and next thing I know I came home and he had changed out the seat!  Truly a business owner that does everything he can to satisfy their customer.  I cannot thank him and his son Shaun enough for the time and care they spent on my project.  They were extremely considerate and cleaned up before they left each day.  I would highly recommend them for any bathroom remodel.   I have already asked Bob to consider doing some remodeling on my master bathroom later this summer.

*Please keep in mind the total cost of my guest bathroom remodel was partly dependent on the type of fixtures and accessories I wanted.  Cost could have been less or more depending on what I chose.  I picked out and purchased the following but they were installed by Baths n Such:

 - 2 sink faucets (Lowes; Windemere Brushed Nickel 2 handle Watersense bathroom sink faucet, drain included for $139.00 a piece for total of $278.00 before tax)

-  Bathtub and shower faucets (Lowes; $28.15 for universal T-valve and $223.00 for Delta Leland Monitor 14 Series Tub and Shower Trim for total of $251.15 before tax)

-  2 mirrors above the double sinks (Lampsplus.com; $261.99 a piece for total of $523.98 before tax; usually you can get free shipping if you spend over a certain amount)

-  2 lights fixtures above the 2 mirrors (LightingDirect.com; Thomasville Lighting Roxbury Bathroom Fixture at $88.65 a piece for total of $177.30 before tax; free shipping)

-  Tub/shower door (Basco Shower Enclosures sold thru Plumbers Supply Company in Fishers; Bob graciously picked up for me when order came in ? approx. $700)

-  Bathroom paint (Lowes; 1 gallon for about $34)

-  Accessories (3 various towel bars all in brushed nickel finish ? towel bar ($44.95), towel rack ($89.95) and towel ring ($25.95) for total of $160.85 (no tax and no shipping) from SignatureHardware.com);  Grab bar from Lowes at $19.98 and toilet paper holder from Lowes approx. $15)

**I also purchased the granite top and sink bowls from Olympia Stone which they installed (but Bob and Baths n Such did remove and dispose of my old vanity top so the new granite top could be installed).   I was able to pick a granite remnant (basically a left over piece of granite from a custom job) which is usually less expensive.  Cost was $790.28 for Olympia to fabricate and install 1 ¼ ?granite remnant for my size vanity.  Also included 2 sink cut out for under mount sink, installation of under mount sink, faucet drillings, 4 ? backsplash and standard edge detail.   The 2 white sink bowls were $100. Total spent was just under $900.00.  Very pleased with how everything turned out with the granite.  Would highly recommend getting a backsplash!

FAQs for glass shower door or enclosure repair projects in Indianapolis, IN

The type of glass shower you choose depends on your household size, lifestyle, and budget. Custom designs and frameless doors will cost more to install and repair. Framed glass shower doors can be a more budget-friendly option.

If your glass shower has many people using it daily, you also want to opt for durable glass options, and you’ll need to stay on top of maintenance and repairs.

Regular cleaning and sealing are key to keeping a glass shower door in its best shape. A glass shower door looks great in modern bathrooms, but when the glass is covered in dried water spots or smudged fingerprints, it can make the entire bathroom look messy.

  • Apply water repellent: Water repellent costs about $5 to $10. Use it to help wick away water droplets from the glass.

  • Squeegee the walls: Keep a squeegee in the shower, and use it to remove water from the glass after each shower; this only takes a few minutes.

  • Weekly cleaning: Each week, use a glass-safe cleaner or a foam cleaning eraser to scrub down glass shower walls.

  • Monthly cleaning: Check caulking and reapply as needed to prevent leaks, particularly for frameless doors. Clean the tracks to prevent the door from sticking.

There are several glass treatment options out there that can make it easier to keep your glass shower door clean. Treatments can help keep soap scum, corrosion, and pesky little fingerprints at bay. You might pay as much as a 30% upcharge on the price of your glass shower door to add a protective coating.

Even with a protective coating, you have to clean your shower. If you are diligent about wiping down shower walls after use and giving the glass a more thorough cleaning every week, you can likely save money and skip the added glass treatment.

If your shower endures heavy use from multiple family members and guests, a protective coating can make it easier to keep the glass spotless.
