"We had to pay half of the price because the foundation company paid the rest. They were knowledgeable and had a pretty good selection. They were pretty flexible as far as scheduling as well."

"took a while for Lowes to get all the flooring in.  I had the house leveled before laying new floor to make sure seams would stay matched.  They laid it exactly the way i wanted it so it looked like a real wood floor job.  I was impressed with their craftmanship.  Kind of pricey but everyone got their cut and i got a written garanntee from Lowes and the manufacture. <br />"

"We went in and although we didn't get it right away, the price of the carpet went up the next day. Because we had been in there on the day before, they gave us the price of the day we went in and did not charge us the new price. I thought that was good. We had looked at it and talked to a clerk. Even though we got it 3 months later, they still gave us the price from the day that we talked to somebody. They didn't give us the new increased price. The installers and the people who took out the old carpet were very professional. The service people in the store were very professional too. They kept the price as the old price and didn't use the new price. We love the quality of the carpet. It's real thick and plush. They had trouble with drivers. They were real professional."

"I ask for an estimate on kitchen counters. They were over my budget and went with a company in Victoria. Yes it was cheaper to get a company out of Victoria than Corpus Christi."

"Steve and his son wre very responsive and made us confident they would support the sale to completion. The installers were really nice fellows and were very professional. They did an outstanding job. They communicated with us through the process and addressed all potential options to seek our input. They completed the installations in a timely manner and completely cleaned up any litter from the install prcess. We are very pleased with the outcome. <br />"

"Robert Chapa and his crew showed up every day on schedule. After a few days we felt confident enough to leave him our keys and to let he and his crew work while we were gone. He has a good eye for design. Our 45 year old home looks like a new home inside. I have had so many oohs and ahhhs when people see his work. Robert even did extras like put up our new window coverings without even having to ask."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Ingleside, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
