"Working with Northland Fence was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. After exploring several options, their pricing stood out as the most competitive, but what truly impressed us was the level of service and care they provided throughout the entire process. The quality of the fencing materials and hardware is excellent—everything feels solid, durable, and thoughtfully installed. They maintained their schedule, navigated challenges with ease, and demonstrated a genuine commitment to delivering the best possible outcome. Every question we had was met with thoughtful, detailed responses, which made us feel completely informed and confident in our decision. As a family-owned business, their integrity and pride in their work truly shine through. The finished fence exceeded our expectations, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking quality craftsmanship and a team you can trust."

"Chris is unbelievable. He completed Cedar fence posts & plank replacement on short notice at a great price. I felt like he was very honest, as he did not try to upsell and even pointed out which work I could handle myself if I was so inclined and wanted to save money. As for the "unbelievable" part - we agree the actual work agreement on a nice fall day, but the day the actual work was done, it has suddenly snapped cold and windy, with 4-5" of snow on the ground. It would have been quite understandable if he would have cancelled or postponed, but instead he showed up on time, somehow ploughed through and did great work. A+ Highly recommend!"

"The only problem I saw was the barb wire was not straight on a 30 foot section and the dirt around a few of the posts was not packed right. The price was pretty good and they did the job the next day after estimate. One of the workers was kind of rude to me after the job was done? all in all I may hire them again but will get more than 1 estimate next time"

FAQs for chain link fence repair or alter projects in Saint-Paul, MN

Installing a concrete reinforcement slab significantly boosts the stability and longevity of your chain link fence. This reinforcement creates a strong foundation that protects the fence from erosion, burrowing animals, and high winds. The installation cost is $4 to $10 per square foot, and this robust base minimizes the need for future repairs while extending the overall lifespan of your fence.

Repairing minor damage such as small holes is far more cost‑effective than replacing significant portions of your chain link fence. Minor repairs cost between $100 and $200, while replacing full sections demands an investment of $1,000 to $2,000. For a fence that is 20 years old or older, having an expert assess it now can prevent repeated repair expenses and secure long‑term durability, thereby safeguarding overall fence performance.

If you'd rather remove your chain link fence than repair or replace it, professionals charge between $3 and $5 per linear foot for the job. There may be additional costs involved if there is extra labor needed, like relocating plants or separating the chain-link fence from other existing structures. This also does not include waste disposal fees.

Chain link fences have an average lifespan of 20 years with regular cleaning and maintenance. They stand out as one of the most affordable and durable fencing options available to homeowners and businesses alike. Chain link fences often last five to 10 years longer than comparable wooden fence installations. Chain-link fences made with a vinyl coating often exceed these estimates, providing even greater longevity and weather resistance.
