"I highly recommend hiring Adrian Kovaci and his crew at Ceres Construction for your home construction project. The quality of their work was superb, the cost was comparible to the three other quotes I got from other companies, and their work presence at my home was unobtrusive as I could hope for. My two level 1923-built Richmond district home in San Francisco had a derelict passage to my garage - crumbling door, wobbly side stairs, and dry-rotted siding. Nothing was up to code. Adrian noted all the items that had to be reconstructed and said the project would take up to 20 days (it actually was finished in 18 days.) Adrian was very accommodating in giving extra finishing touches to my door hallway without extra charges, which I appreciated. I was concerned about the cost of the project and the disruption the work would cause, but Adrian's calm demeanor and the friendliness of the crew put my worries to rest. Thank you Adrian for leaving the work area spotless and for the quality work!"

"We hired David and Prosper to do a gut renovation of our home in Portero Hill. We decided to hire them after interviewing six different contractors. From the initial phone call I had with Prosper Construction Development I knew these guys were different. He was the only contractor to ask that I forward the blueprints we had so that he could come to the meeting prepared. Our project ended up being more difficult than we originally had thought. Some walls we wanted to remove were structural and almost every wall had plumbing. Prosper Construction and their entire team handled each surprise like seasoned pros and these challenges did not stop their team from delivering the home we had envisioned. The scope of work included: gut kitchen renovation, 2 gut bathrooms, tiling, wood floors, painting throughout, removal of structural walls, addition of steel panel. Our renovation was completed over a month ago. I would not hesitate recommending them. At the end of the day they are really great people with a terrific team."

"John and his team do amazing work. Built a stunning custom office space with a floor to ceiling library, custom cabinets and custom French doors that blended into our existing home design. I’ve owned a number of homes over the years and I’ve never worked with a builder more dedicated to quality and with more experience than Bay."

Small jobs welcome

"Jeff at JD Mathew Construction was great to work with for my exterior home siding project. He and his crew were on time, efficient and excellent at communication. I appreciate that Jeff coordinated all aspects of the project and explained both how the original work done by the builder may have failed and how to maintain longevity of the updates completed by he and his team. I would trust Jeff with any of my home needs in the future."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Inverness, CA

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
