"It was a trying experience. It was hard to get them to call back and when they did call back, it was hard to get them scheduled and get them to show up. We spent a couple of months trying to get them to show up. They have an answering machine instead of a live person answering the phone. It wasn't easy. When they did show up, they did do the job. They did good work, but it was hard to get them here. We have a gutter cover because of the pine trees and they dislodged one of those and we had to get the gutter people to come out and reinstall it. They were not real careful, but the roof itself is good and it doesn't leak. We called a couple of other companies and they were right in the middle."

I noticed my neighbor who had roofers repairing the area around his fireplace and I got his roofers names. His roofer was Jorge Maldonado (415) 424-1274. Jorge does roofs (replacement and repair), deck repairs, siding repairs, fencing repairs and exterior painting. I had him check my roof and he patched up the area around the fireplace, explaining what he was doing each step of the way. He also sealed all the roof vent pipes. I also had him replace my rain gutters and he disposed of the old ones. I was happy when Jorge said that my roof did not need replacement at this time, that it was good for about 5 more years. Jorge and his crew did an excellent job. Jorge explained each step of the way and was clear on the price. The workers arrived on time, worked efficiently together getting the job done, and cleaned up after themselves. After Jorge did my roof, another neighbor had him do partial rain gutter replacement for her home. I was really pleased with the job he did and plan to contact him when my roof needs replacing or my side fences. Recommend him to anyone who wants an excellent worker!"

"David and his crew are amazing! They really know their "stuff". We have a 10 unit condo complex surrounded by lots of trees. Last year they did dry rot repairs, fixed or replaced gutters throughout the complex. It was quite the project! In the fall, we hired them again and they did a gutter cleaning. They really did an outstanding job on both projects. Recently, they cleaned our gutters again and fixed 27 end caps. David's team did an excellent job and even cleared away the leaves in the complex. "The project is not quite done. I am awaiting a gutter replacement which should happen over the next couple of days. The roof itself is done and looks beautiful. I was contacted by Journey Builders a day or two after I submitted a request on Angi.com. Yero came out and inspected my 25 year old roof, telling me it would be probably be October before they could schedule it (inspection was June 7th, 20224). When he called in to see when they could schedule it, they had a cancellation and knocked $5000 off the price if I was willing to start the next day. Exactly 7 days later almost to the hour the roof has been installed! Way sooner than I expected. Yero was totally pleasant and very low pressure as opposed to the estimator from another company who had visited my home the prior day and spent 3 hours trying to sell me a really expensive roof with car salesman tactics.
