"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"On February 13, we had Mr. Rooter make repairs to the grinder pump in the effluent tank at our home. They responded quickly and professionally. Unfortunately the servicemen didn't notice that the pump power cable was suspended in such a way that it could snag the floats that control the pump's operation. Today, exactly 90 days to the day, we had to call Mr. Rooter to fix the floats. Again the <br /> servicemen arrived promptly. The repair was simple. However, the servicemen verified a number of times that the pump would operate without problems. Because we were just inside the 90 day warranty period, there was no charge. This is a professional organization - one that honors its commitments. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter to anyone needing plumbing repair or new construction. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"He had to replace a copper pipe that went through the wall.  the pipe was corroded and was replaced with a plastic pipe.  <br /> Satisfied with the prompt repair.  He happened to be working a job in Mobile and must have come here on his lunch break. <br /> Anyway it didn't take him long.  He said he had "done that a few times!!" <br /> <br />"

"Richard was on time, went right to work. Struggled with the connection to exhaust the dryer, because this is an OLD house, but he did not give up until he completed the job. Had to go pick up the connection for the sink drain. Came back, fixed that in no time at all. Richard has done work for us before. He repaired our hot water heater, and installed security lights. He's very professional and courteous. I will always ask for Richard when I call Handyman!"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Irvington, AL

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
