"Excellent. Dave Perrotta, Westbrook Contracting, LLC, was recommended to me by a friend. I am so happy I took her advice. Over the past two years, Dave and his crew have done a beautiful job completely renovating my kitchen and adding a small addition to the side of the house, which included a full bath and closet. The painting was excellent and not only did they paint the dining room, but they fixed the doors to my corner built-in hutch, so they actually close and stay shut. I have received many unsolicited compliments on both the inside and outside work and best of all, the house is just so much more comfortable to live in. I asked about putting a few clothes hooks in the small hallway for rainy day weather, and they built me a beautiful clothes rack, which gets so much use! The shower needed a glass door, something I had never purchased before. Dave not only suggested an excellent vendor, but assisted in the selection. Dave is very easy to work with and his crew is not only skilled but I am very comfortable with them in my home. In addition to his crew, I have been impressed with the quality of sub-contractors, vendors, etc., he used. In closing, my grade school neighbor said it best: "the new addition looks like it was always there"."

It was a big project involving tearing out an old rotting wooden retaining wall and installing one with interlocking blocks -- a LOT of blocks along a very long stretch, multiple levels, and in a place that machinery could not easily reach. I put it out for multiple bids, and some people just make up (higher) numbers. Hector's bid was very competitive, maybe even the lowest, and he did more work than anyone else was proposing to do. In particular, an additional design element that he proposed (he was the only one I talked to who took the time to find out what I liked and didn't like and made a creative suggestion for something new, rather than just replacing what the old one looked like). And then the team was all super professional and friendly, took the time needed to do the job right and it was a lot of very hard work. We've been getting a lot of compliments on the results. "I recently hired RIJI Home improvements to renovate two bathrooms in my 3 bedroom apartment. Both bathrooms were on the small side, the bigger one having a bath which wasn't used at all. I wanted to take out the bathroom and make a large shower as well as changing the floor to ceiling tiles and adding a hanging toilet and vanity, so it would be easier to clean. I more or less had a plan of the layout and colors. But wasn't quite closed about the layout. RIJI's designers made some big improvements on our original plans and offered some original advice about the layout that we would never have thought of by ourselves. The original bathroom was quite dark and I wanted to go for a lighter more minimal look. I can't believe how different both bathrooms look after the renovations. There is lots of light and much more space, yet we still have the same amount of storage space. I am very happy with the work that has been done.
