They were very thorough and progressed through multiple steps of rodding and jetting before finally having to dig in the yard to add a cleanout to resolve my sewer issue. The entire team was contentious and intent at every step. Unfortunately, my 60+-year-old pipes needed a bit more than could be managed from inside the house. Not only were they professional and aggressive in resolving the issue, but they were also very responsive to our urgent needs and showed up when they said they would for every visit. I retract a review I previously submitted for The Plumbing Doctor.  What could be considered a miscommunication was overcome in a short time.  John contacted me to make up for the mis-happenings by providing is service complimentary, and I was open to regain the trust that was lost.  We spoke over the phone and scheduled a time for him to come out to my apartment and finalize the few items I had on a punch list that I was needed for a bathroom makeover to be complete (reinstall toilet, shower trim and hook up sink faucet).  He was prompt, and very courteous and even came back a second time to see the work through to its completion.  The Plumbing Doctor is a service that I was grateful of being introduced to through Angie's List.

"I went onto a website at 7:00 am in the morning and filled out information stating that I needed a plumber to replace a faulty toilet that my landlord, Amy Read was refusing to replace. Jeff Fendt called me at 7:01 am and said that he could send someone, Steven, at 11:00 am that morning and I couldn't have been happier! Steven not only brought the new toilet but he had the happiest, most easy going personality to go along with his hard working ethics and could not have been any kinder to me, a disabled person. "I called various companies, they either seemed to lack confidence to do the job, didn't want the job, or didn't know how to do the job without the gas on. When I called this company, they knew exactly what needed to be done. I made an appointment and took the day off from work. My appointment came and went with nobody showing up. I called and asked for an update and they said they were busy and would have someone out ASAP. The plumber showed up 45 minutes after the original 3 hour window I was given. The plumber had an appointment sheet with my name and info with the wrong appointment window on it. It basically seemed like my appointment got lost in the system and they didn't send someone out until I called to see why no one had arrived. The plumber was great, he really was an expert. He gave me a breakdown of what needed to be done and gave me prices. At this point I had been without gas for a few days and was ready to get this process going, which is why I was willing to overpay. The plumber then informed me that they charge extra because it was getting late, so I replied that it wasn't my fault because his company lost my appointment for an earlier time. He called in and they said they would do it. He did the work, did it well, was very knowledgeable, was very polite, and I got my gas back on. My biggest problem is the price, which is my fault because I agreed to pay it, I understand that. I agreed to pay because I was able to and needed my home to be fully functional for my children, not because I thought it was a fair price. The cost was $1900. As far as parts go, I don't believe it was more than $300 (3 ball valves, 1 pipe cap, joint sealant, air compressor, gas leak solution, air gauge with pipe to tap into gas line), that means they charged $1600 for 4 hours of labor. $400 an hour just seems high to me. Again the work was done perfectly, the plumber was an expert, I have no doubt that they can do multiple jobs at a very high level, and I understand that you get what you pay for, but it just seemed high."
