The company's culture was evident as everyone bent over backwards to ensure that the customer experience was optimal. They brought their own portable toilet and were very gentle with plants and bushes. "They had to go out and purchase the gutter and supplies (I reimbursed them) which used up a fair amount of the time I was to have in the offer (4 hours) and when I discussed other things they might do in the 4 hours, they declined, stating those items were excluded from the offer or beyond what they could do (for ex, some door weatherstripping). I was very happy they did offer to come back and move a shed. It was an additional fee that I felt was very reasonable and well done.  It all evened out when added together.

"Sergio arrived punctually and analyzed the materials he would need for the repairs. He went to a local near-by hardware store and purchased the necessary sheet rock, which I paid for as it was an extra item. In order to get at the damage, he had to pull off a large 4x4 section of peg-board that itself had been torn. We discussed what might be done to replace,the peg-board but made no decision at that time. I left him to do the work, but when I returned, he had removed the peg-board so carefully that it could be remounted and used again, over the now completely repaired and re plastered damage! He also had spied a crack in the garage ceiling that I had overlooked, and repaired it with tape at his own initiative! Impressive work! I would call upon D&R again for this kind of repair. They also do other kinds of construction work, such as replacing cracked sidewalk or worn driveways."

"Overall it went well. We had a few date/day changes that worked out though I stress when I need to adjust my work schedule. I work full time and have learned that I need to be on -site when work is done by independents. I also have 3 dogs that need to be managed. As a widowed and single older person, I feel a bit more protective of my space and security both during and in the future. Phillip is quite Jovial - nice 'good ol boy' affect from Texas. Very casual. I went ahead and had the work done on outside Gazebo (More an open Ramada) that got attached to existing structure so we'll see how that goes. I prefer more detailed specifications on the build. I won't use him for additional structures attached to my home until I'm retired. I could attached a photo if my son helps me but not at this time. Want to say he di modify the slatting on top to preserve existing vines as requested. Very Happy about that spec. treatment."
