"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

"Tony and his crew at The Spray Shop met with me to discuss the type of finish I wanted on my vanities and other cabinetry for two bathroom remodels. One vanity ended up having a custom-designed finish because none of the standard finishes quite fit what I envisioned. Tony listened to what I wanted, made some suggestions, and provided some sample finishes. They were right on schedule, getting the cabinets finished as soon as the cabinetmaker provided them to the shop. The quality of the finish is excellent and the look is exactly what I wanted. Please don't pay attention to the price I put in "cost of service" as I really don't know what this cost. It was included in the price of the custom cabinets so I am not sure how much of the total cost was for finishing the cabinets and I just guessed.
I would absolutely go back to The Spray Shop and I highly recommend their services!

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"He is well experienced and good at what he does. I feel as though he is excellent. He came to the house and examined everything and gave me an explanation of what he was going to do and how the job was done and who does good work and who does bad work. His estimate was for $3,000. He seems like a very professional and knowledgeable person, and I assume that he is, but his price was just too expensive for me. It was a good experience. It went good. Everything went perfect. He was very professional and I have no complaints about him or anything, and it was just the price. He was on time. I would use him in the future, considering his prices."

"Our kitchen remodeling timing took close to 4 weeks because of some cabinets that the factory sent wrong and we had to ship it back and replace them. During this period of time, Our project manager from Pure Home Remodeling, did all he could to solve it as fast as he could and while finishing all the other things that needed to be done in the kitchen. The kitchen is a U shape and required a lot of cabinets and the counter top was special too because of that. All the rest of the items came on time and everything was ok. The workers didn't miss any day from work and they all were nice to us during the whole time. Now when the kitchen is completed, we are happy with it and we thank our project manager for everything including the nice gift he gave us at the end of the work."

"He was excellent. It just took a while for me to get my furniture made and he was understaffed. He was very honest. He kept in touch with me. The people that he did have working for him were not available when he needed them. But he made a fine cabinet for me and it was reasonable priced. I would hire them again. He finished the cabinet at his shop and he brought it to me and installed it himself. I ordered it and made a 50% down-payment and it took a while for him to come and speak to me, because he had another call that took him out of the country for a month. In the meantime I was calling to find out if anybody was in his office to tell me how the project was going. He did not have anyone to answer the phone and he himself did not call me to notify me that he was leaving the country. Then finally, a month later, I got a hold of him and he apologized for not getting back to me or notifying me. So then I asked if he could come and make me a sketch of what the project would be and measured the wall for where I am going to put it. He came back and we did that. He just didn't have adequate staffing to follow-through with anything. I will use him again. I have a couple of other things I want him to make. I was very honest with him and I said I expected this to be done at the end of the year last year, and it is already March and we are just getting down to installing it. So he apologized and I will use him again, but he understands me and I understand him. He was professional when I did see him, however very slow in the process."

"After searching online and interviewing a few contractors we found just do it builders on Angies list. From the beginning we had a very good chemistry with Eric the owner. A factor that was really important to us. My husband and I decided to go with him and we were very pleased with the outcome for our project. As Eric promised the remodel took almost 4 weeks. They remodel our kitchen completely with new cabinets, new granite counter top. We also changed the floors to hardwood floor and we also added recessed lights and few outlets in dining area. What I like the most with this company is that every morning we got a phone call from the project manger in the office about the schedule of every day, we knew exactly when the guys are coming to work and we were updated with the stages of the project. Communication was great and helpful for us. The crew kept our house clean as much as they could. They took the trash every end of the day and really made the process easy and comfortable experience as it can be. I will definitely recommend just do it builders to my family and friends. We are thinking to remodel out bathroom soon and I already contact Eric for a quote. Thanks again for such a beautiful work we love our new kitchen!!

FAQs for cabinets repair projects in Jacumba, CA

The timeframe for kitchen cabinet removal varies significantly based on quantity and installation complexity. Professional contractors typically complete standard kitchens within 4 to 8 hours, though complicated configurations involving plumbing or electrical components may extend to 1 to 2 days. Homeowners tackling this as a DIY project should allocate substantially more time—often 1 to 3 full days—as careful extraction requires methodical work to prevent property damage.

Kitchen cabinets can indeed be salvaged for reuse when removed carefully. Construction material significantly impacts success rates—hardwood cabinets generally survive extraction better than composite materials, which tend to chip or break. For optimal preservation, document the original layout, remove doors and hardware first, then methodically detach units from walls and adjacent cabinets. Professional removal significantly increases the likelihood of successful cabinet preservation.

Disposal options for kitchen cabinets depend largely on their condition and your local waste management regulations. Cabinets in reasonable condition might find new homes through donation centers or online marketplaces. For damaged units, professional waste removal services offer convenience, while dumpster rentals provide flexibility for larger projects. Some municipalities offer special collection services for bulky items, though advance scheduling is typically required.

Wall damage during cabinet removal represents a legitimate concern for many homeowners. The risk varies based on installation methods—cabinets attached directly to drywall without backing supports pose greater challenges than properly mounted units. Professional removal minimizes damage through specialized techniques and appropriate tools. Even with careful extraction, expect some minor wall repairs. Older installations and homes with plaster walls require particularly delicate handling to prevent significant damage.
