Lesson learned, have AHS do simpler repairs that don't require municipal building department approval. Have AHS pay for the equipment, and purchase installation from a trusted local installer."

"We initially thought that there was a leak in the line for which a quote was provided. Once the line was uncovered to repair the leak it was discovered that the entire line (lead pipe which had been installed when the house was built in 1967) was corroded and would probably continue to spring leaks even after the first was repaired. The contractor recommended that the entire line be replaced although he was more than willing to repair only the leak for the initial estimate of $195. I agreed with his recommendation.
