"Always evaluate the quality of the carpet you need and the quality of the mill end you are purchasing from Karpet Korner. They carry different grades of carpet, and choosing wisely is key to a satisfactory experience with them. I did not have any previous experience with carpet when I first bought from them. However, you can tell a lot from the tufting and density of the fibers. <br />"

"I only trust Woodard for carpet cleaning, tile floor steam cleaning, and water restoration work. I tried another carpet cleaner once many years ago. I had to have multiple calls back to get my carpets cleaned. Woodard does it once and does it right. Woodard also did a thorough job on a sewer backup in my basement. I also like the drop off rug cleaning service and lawn chair cleaning/storage service."

"Installers. led by Patrick, not only worked incredibly fast, but also did a flawless job! An error was made, but was quickly rectified. Aside from a some difficulty contacting the right person in the company the actual customer service with the company as well as with the installers could not have been better. I could not be more pleased, primarily due to Patrick the installer."

"We had new flooring put in our living room, dining room, hallway and kitchen and new carpeting on the stairs. Wonderful experience beginning with our first encounter with Annette. She was totally professional and very patient with helping us make the right decision, which wasn't an easy thing to do with us. She explained all the aspects of the difference choices in flooring several times to us which helped with our decision. She kept in touch with us throughout the installment to make sure things were going smoothly. The installers we had were polite and also very professional. Made sure things were put in the right way. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everything looks wonderful!"

"Our purple carpet had about 100 urine stains from previous dogs and our own. The specialist, Robert, matched to color and treated every spot. If we didn't know where they were, we'd never know they spots had been there. Perfect job!"

"We needed new draperies, were given some suggestions on Angie's List, but one was too far away, one did not answer her phone. We noticed that Wyanet Carpet now has draperies. A very personable designer came to our home, helped us choose the drapes, did all of the measuring and ordering. The order came in a little early; the designer and an installer came with new rods, completed the project flawlessly, as well as helping to repair the rods in another room. They were both very detail oriented. The price is within the range one should expect for custom, high quality draperies. We are very, very pleased."

"i do love my floors, i heard the commercial and it said someone will come to your home and help you select what best fits your needs, and thats why i choose l&p, because i wasnt sure, James came and did a walk through and measured and recommended luxury vinyl, i would have loved to have had some big fluffy mohawk carpet, but because i have an older dog that has accidents and had done alot of damage to my floors, carpet was not a good idea.frank helped me on color choice and what to expect. luxury vinyl was the best choice for me, they are so pretty and family and friends are trying to determine if its hard wood, before i made up my mind i took a scrap piece of the flooring and tried to scratch it with a fork it did not scratch, but i know in time any floor will eventually get scratched but its more durable than hard wood or laminate if you have pets. changed the whole look of my home, the workers were very professional and fast, also i was worried about this happening in a lived in house full of furniture, they moved all the heavy stuff, i only had to get my personal things off the floor and things on top of furniture, heres a tip for you, box it up lable it. put it back as they go room to room. i cant say enough about this company. i would 100 percent recommend <br />"

"Worked with Jarad Capps better pricing and style overall advice design ideas and just nice comfortable doing business with a pro who knows how to really benefit me the customer, rare around here and out of about 6 free consultations, I would have been SORRY had I not gotten the floors from them I talked to several people around Jerseyville and thought they might be too high there, and therefore I almost did not call them WRONG WRONG WRONG.. They are good people and they were just a higher quality experience for sure than I would have gotten elsewhere. I am certain I would not have been as happy if I had chosen another flooring place. Jared Capps has a lot of decorator ideas that look good but inexpensive had more options that worked looked fab after they were done I was very impressed at there wider selection of everything compared to the amature s around here. He know what is in what will re-sell, gives you all avenues of data where the other ones didn't give me any advice and style help. I would have messed it up had I not had him help me through the process. HE knows for sure what is in , what is out, what resells, and they have great follow up were cheaper than competitors bids ! And much better installers and customer service is top of the line. There is no one else in this area that would compare to them this I know because I got free consultations from about 8 people and they all just were lame compared to working with Jarad Capps at Jerseyville carpet and furniture. He had inexpensive idea for my bathroom did different flooring in bathroom looks very inexpensive and looks BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not trust anyone around here but them I got 7 free consultations ( I am super duper picky want the best and many are NOT) and jeRSEYVILLE Carpet and furniture in Jerseyville superabundantly exceeded all expectations and flew circles around competition . NO CONTEST I would have been screwed had I gone with anyone else I talked with because they are not as knowledgable about the product nor do they have designing ideas that just are wonderful with color and product you need that because it is a expensive investment. They won't steer you wrong. I almost did not call them heard they are high they were much less with better product!!! esp if you tell them your getting bids."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Jerseyville, IL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
