"This company bid on paving subdivision roads. He offered residents a fair price to do their driveway at the same time. In the process of taking old driveway out and excavating for new they hit the garage door and now doesn?t shut properly. Said they fixed it. Not to owner?s satisfaction. If you drive through subdivision after rain, lots of puddles is low areas. The asphalt was not a high quality product. It is better then all the potholes , but not high quality job in my opinion."

"This week Quality Concrete and Masonry replaced my old, asphalt driveway that was falling apart with a brand new, beautiful concrete driveway. Bryan and his entire crew arrived on time each day of my project, got right to work, and were extremely efficient and professional. The result is breathtaking! I LOVE my new driveway. They cleaned the area up and added new top soil. I felt that they took care of my property as they would their own. I appreciated the fact that Bryan returned phone calls and emails answering my questions in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Bryan and his crew to anyone who is considering a project involving concrete. I could tell from my first contact with Bryan that he runs an honest business. He was transparent from the beginning encouraging customers to verify his credentials before hiring his company. It is refreshing to find a business with such honesty and integrity that does such excellent work. Thank you Bryan!"

"4 men with some of the finest asphalt sealcoating equipment, tools and associated equipment arrived on schedule, and set to work like a well oiled machine. Each man new his job, and they all worked as a team. Very efficient, and they never stopped until the job was completed. The results look good. I know many people who employ this company for residential work, and I also know many companies that will only use this company because of the quality of work and the integrity of the owners. I have no hesitation in suggesting that someone hire them for any sort of asphalt work, whether it is new construction, maintenance, stripping or anything else. If you want to see a correct and honest example of people who love what they do, talk to the folks from Asphalt Solutions Plus. Mr. Kevin Patrick and family have my unsolicited loyalty and recommendation. I know of many companies not to suggest to you, this is the one that  I will suggest you use. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Kalamazoo, MI

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
