"It went fantastic. Ian Osborne, the company owner, was hands on all the way through the process. From the selection of materials to the installation phase, Ian and his team were professional, courteous, and efficient. They showed up when they said they would show up and they worked diligently the whole time they were at our house. The end product was so well done that we had several subcontractors commenting about how good the workmanship was and how the installation was so precise. Cabinet doors lined up perfectly. I was particularly impressed with the fabrication and installation of the top moulding. Our ceilings are not level and they made sure they trimmed the moulding to account for it. It fit perfectly with no gaps. Ian is incredibly responsive. He returns phone calls, text messages, and emails promptly. We had a minor issue with our counter installation. The installer wanted additional support put around our sink area. I thought it was something the counter installer should do, but one call to Ian and he had his guys at the house within a half hour to put in the additional support. It was an absolute pleasure working with Ian and his team. I would not hesitate to recommend him for custom built cabinets or any other job. (He also does entire kitchen renovations!) <br />"

"The DTC crew was professional and took care to protect my carpet and furniture and was sure to clean up at the end of each day.  No debris was left on-site.  Overall, we were happy with their work and our kitchen is gorgeous. <br /> Minor issues and recommendations to other customers: <br /> 1.  Brenton is usually anywhere from 15-45 minutes late, but he apologetic and has a good personality.  The actual construction crew is on-time. <br /> 2.  We wanted to use one contractor for all of the work and had DTC install our bamboo floors.  I would recommend hiring a professional floor installer next time. <br /> 3.  The shut-off valve for our refrigerator water line froze and leaked after the refrigerator was re-installed, damaging the newly installed floors.  I would recommend that you have this valve replaced whether you need to or not...cheap insurance. <br /> 4.  DTC quoted an installation cost of $75 per lighting fixture.  They did not state that this cost is only to replace an existing fixture and we wanted to add light fixtures. <br /> 5.  Make sure you know what you want in finishes, etc. <br />"

"From the moment I contacted Kapcity I've received nothing but exceptional customer service and workmanship. <br />This local company may be smaller than others out there but they are by far the best on the island bar none and I'll explain why. <br /> <br />We purchased a new kitchen from HomeDepot which included Appliances, kitchen island and cabinets etc. <br />At the same time we received an instillation quote from HD which came out to be $12850.00 which seemed more than unreasonable seen as we paid $8500.00 for our KItchen including appliances. <br /> <br />Disturbed about the HD estimation I decided I would contact as many contractors as I could on the Island. <br />In total I contacted 16 companies on the island and requested a quote. <br />This is how it went. <br />I was contacted by approximately 8 companies some provided estimates no quote under $10,000.00. <br />This all seemed very unreasonable for a kitchen approximately 8sq ft. Some companies did not even come to my condo and just provided a quote on the spec's I e-mailed. <br />When Kapcity contacted me by returning my phone call minutes after I left a message I was pretty exhausted with the process. <br />Keenan (the owner) called me. He was able to come and see the job almost immediately. <br />Unlike other companies Keenan really took the time to take a detailed look at the job to reduce the risk of surprises and he offered inexpensive solutions to some difficult aspects of the install. <br />He had his electrician and plumber look at the job to build an accurate estimate and it was clear to see he was committed to keeping the cost of the install down. <br />Not only is Keenan very experienced and skilled but he was careful not to overcommit and took the time to answer any questions I had while offering realistic economical solutions. <br />His estimate was $5700.00 and he did not go over that by one penny. <br /> <br />Keenan's team of workers were a great bunch of guys. Not only very skilled with many years of experience under their belt but any obstacles they encountered they overcame with ease. <br />You will feel very comfortable with this team in your home. Watching them work together you can see they had great work ethics and standards. <br />They left the job site and building very clean every day. They arrived on time and worked tirelessly with little breaks to get the job done. To see the sense of pride they have in their work and their relationship with each other including their boss Keenan is pretty rare but comforting. <br />Keenan and his team were a pleasure to have around. <br />The workmanship is nothing short of amazing. They really go the extra mile to satisfy you from point of contact on. <br />I should highlight that the conditions I watched them worked in were very tough. <br />Something I know deterred some companies from even providing a quote. On my 15th floor apartment there is no air conditioning, limited parking and in the apartment itself there was not much room to work. <br />At no point did I hear any of the guys grumble about this as I watched them work. <br />If you are considering a contractor be sure to contact Keenan. <br />I was referred to Kap City by my wife's co-worker who just received an estimate but was unable to hire them due to start date availability. <br />We are delighted with the stellar service/workmanship we received from Keenan & Kap City. He continues to surprise me with returning my calls very promptly and has helped me in ways that he does not profit from. <br />Currently we are looking forward to him working on our bathroom renovation. <br />My only other piece of advice I can give is if you plan some work contact him as far in advance as you can. They are a small skilled team which means they are quiet busy all the time. That said they were able to start work on my kitchen when I needed them. <br /> <br />"

"The new cabinet doors are gorgeous and are very well matched both in color and wood design to the other cabinets that were not replaced. I know matching old with new can be very difficult. He and Marcia went out of their way to assure a correct match, with a good amount of time spent through trial and error to get the color right. Satoshi is obviously very skilled and conscientious not only about his work, but also listening to the wishes of the client. He takes much pride in his work. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!"

"I wanted something beautiful and functional for a tiny home we are remodeling in Makaha on the island of Oahu. I had already ordered a bathroom vanity from Lowe's and couldn't find anything that would work for closet doors or built-in cabinetry. Our home is on the beach and the tradewinds and salt air create a film of dust almost daily so I wanted something with low maintenance. Mirrored sliding closet doors would not do. I stumbled on Pacific craftworks from an ad that I found from the Home Show magazine. I found their shop near the airport and was very impressed by the beauty of their showroom. Everything was so gorgeous I thought there would be no way I could afford anything. I was so surprised when John, the salesman started to tell me the prices. The beautiful built-in armoire was much nicer and almost half the price of what I had tried to design at Lowe's. The doors came in many different woods and John told me they could match any finish I chose. I brought in a door with the finish of the vanity from Lowe's and, though not perfect, when the finished product arrived it blended very well. All my pieces were custom, They arrived in 10 weeks, they were beautifully packaged and exactly to my specifications. I still cannot believe my luck that I stumbled on this small showroom. I am so impressed with the price and quality. The armoire is stunning and anyone who walks in the house asks where I purchased it. The guest room closet doors have beautiful carvings of bird-of-paradise. They are very elegant and the carving is very fine."
