"The salesman came out and gave me an estimate to pull out 6 basement windows from my 90+ yr old house and replace them with vinyl slide daylight windows.  The price was much better than I was expecting so I agreed to proceed while he was there and he went ahead and took the measurements.  He measured them all 3 times and went over the process of removal and installation.  He said it would probably be about 4 weeks until the windows came in and that someone would call me.  
I called them at 4 weeks because I was anxious to get some windows that weren't broken into the house I'd just purchased and moved into.  The windows were in and I wondered why no one called to tell me this, but whatever.  Install was scheduled quickly and even though we had a huge snowstorm the day before, the installers showed up on time.
It was a man/woman team and they covered all my floors and put up caution tape around the house and took every precaution to make sure everything was kept clean and safe.
When they were done, we walked around and checked all the windows.  He showed me where he filled in gaps with caulk and insulation and he also showed me areas outside where I would need to think about getting some mortar filled in around the stones within the next year or so.
I'm very pleased with the work and the product and will definitely call them again if I need any other windows.
