"I saw a drip coming down from the ceiling, hitting my wood floor and I immediately knew that my water heater was about to expire. Right away, I went through Angie's List to request an emergency repair and Bacon responded by phone in about 10 minutes. I spoke with a very friendly and personable dispatcher and she told me they would have a technician out as soon as possible. Within about 90 minutes, the technician, Mario Cisneros, arrived and assessed the issue and provided several options for replacement. He left to order parts and get an assistant to help him with the installation. After a few hours of very hot work up in my attic, it was replaced and in perfect working order. Mario and his assistant were outstanding, friendly, and personable and explained what was going to be done every step of the way. I could not be more pleased with the results. Fantastic job! "Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."
