"Decided to put a sliding door from my dinning room to my patio. Cesar had to not only move the duct work, but also had to build steps to the patio level. In addition, i also had Cesar replace a few rotted planks from the existing deck."

"The work was excellent. You can't tell the difference of the old wall (1939). I would highly recommend them for work. Was done fast. Left the area clean. Was very impressed. Will definitely be using them again!"

"We wanted a small deck. I had quotes from Lowes and another contractor. Gary responded quickly to my initial call and provided samples, pricing and suggested a design. He had the best price and wanted no money up front. He also worked with our town's building department to come to a final design they would approve. From the time of final approval, the crew started work within a reasonable timeframe and took about a week. The deck looks good and feels solid. As Gary advised the darker colors really do get hot, even if there's just late afternoon sun. A bit of a downside: if you need minor adjustments/corrections and you're not in an area he usually works in, there is a wait for a crew to be in your area to address."

"I met him at the door, moved my car across the street so that he would be able to park in front of my door.  He was courteous and responded to my inquiries in a professional manner.  I was concerned about the remnants left after having three wasps nests removed.  They'd left a gray imprint on the white, decorative fascia in the eves, corners and upper window frame on my porch.  I was told that he couldn't use full power as it would wet the interior of my home.  He would wash it, but couldn't guarantee that it would come off.  It did not!  I'll go out on my porch tomorrow and scrub the remnants that I can reach with a scrub brush.  I know that will remove it!

He started in the back of the house with a soapy solution (upper and lower floors), moved around the side and then, did the front.  I believe that he power washed my home with the cleaning solution at least twice--maybe even three times!  He then proceeded to use a clear solution to wash off the soap.  I went around to the back of the house after he'd rinsed it off the second or third time.  It looked okay.  However, when I went around to the side and front of my property, they looked pristine!
I lowered his rating for punctuality because he said that he would be here at 1:00 p.m.  In reality, it was closer to 2:30p.m.
I had my vinyl siding installed in the mld-to-late nineteen eighties.  The siding is white and my trim is light yellow.  It's held up well through the years; however, this is the first time I've ever had my home Power Washed.  To be honest, I am extremely satisfied with the Provider who power cleaned my home.  If the price is right, perhaps I'll follow his suggestion and have my home cleaned again in another two-three years!

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Kenilworth, NJ

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
