"We had water loss in our house. In addition to the restoration work, we decided to do a broader remodel at the same time. We actually hired a different company that promised to make our house all new again, but we had a lot of delays and communication issues, and ultimately walked away from that company. We had already moved into temporary housing for the remodel, and needed another contractor to step in quickly. Johnson and Sons rose to the occasion and were able to get us back into our house quicker than the first company would have. Our remodel was basically the whole house. Floors, interior paint, all 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. The price was competitive. The timeline was good. The communication was outstanding, which was very important to us. Vic was always available to answer questions and proactive in letting us know what was going on. Jon and Tony were patient and willing to make adjustments as requested. We did discover an issue based on a previous contractor's faulty work, but Vic was quick to explain the situation and give us options and prices. We would definitely recommend them to others."

"Good end result, but be ready to run the project yourself I hired Topaz Remodeling for a 50K basement finish. Some areas look good. But it required constant oversight. The serious stuff: The crew punctured a fully exposed water pipe 6 inches in front of them. Live wiring was left exposed above the ceiling with no junction box. I found it. That knocked out my greenhouse circuit, costing me about half my plants. Drywall went up before these issues were caught. Management: I was told a manager would be on site every other day. I saw one once. Communication went quiet after payments cleared. After a nearly two-hour milestone meeting, they requested payment early and disputed the terms. Quality: The shower door didn't fit because the base had a non-standard 2.5" threshold. The replacement failed after a week. Bottom line: The craftsmanship is there, but the homeowner has to catch the mistakes. If you hire Topaz, be prepared to manage closely and inspect everything before paying."
