"This is a father and son team of extremely knowledgeable and skilled woodworkers. They were so flexible that they actually rearranged other clients to help me get doors installed in time for a graduation party. They bring all their own equipment and have more woodworking equipment at their shop. They took one of the large posts back to their shop to split because it required a specialized saw. It was a 2 day project. Everything was installed and looks seamless and professional. The son also knows a lot about granite, so that was helpful when making decisions about what legs and braces to put on the granite. On top of great work at a great price, these two are just really nice people. I would hire them for any remodel or new construction project large or small.

"The entire crew from Custom Colors Painting was outstanding. Polite, focused on their work, excellent attention to detail. They started the job exactly when they said they would and spent a lot of time prepping the surfaces, which is critical to the success of a long-lasting paint job. They showed up on time each day, caulked all the windows (all 34 of them!) and always asked questions if they weren't sure of exactly what we wanted to have done (we used 3 paint colors, so it was a bit tricky to get right). They were careful about the plants next to the house and cleaned up after themselves every day. Communication was easy and excellent. The resulting paint job is fantastic, as the entire crew clearly takes pride in a job well done. I would not hesitate to hire Custom Colors again, and give them my highest recommendation."

"Eric did a whole list of repairs in my home including drywall, tile repair, sticking door, hanging pictures and installing ceiling fans. The biggest project he did was my master bathroom remodel. He took the time to explain what needed to be done and cleaned up after himself. I Would highly recommend hiring him!"

"We are very pleased with the work and would highly recommend this company to do work for you. Travis, the owner, is a responsible and hard working man. His assistant James worked hard along side of him. They arrived when they said they would and are going to have the project finished today."

"There were some good things and some bad things. I wrote some notes at the time of work and then waited over a year to see how the roof performed before writing this review.
Work Duration: The duration of the work was not as promised. It was supposed to be a 1 to 1.5 day max job. The roofing installation itself took 2 full days not including the misc. touch up return visits. The gutter installation was another day or so of work a few days after the roof completed. Perhaps the representative was speaking to just the duration of the roofing work since gutter work was sub-contracted out but that was not the impression that I had at the time.
Valley Construction:
When I spoke with Dan a few weeks before the job was to start I expressed my preference for an open valley with the metal flashing down each. On the day of the install during the tear off of I asked Dan again about having new valley material on hand. Once the shingles started going on I discovered, after 1 or 2 valleys were already done, that they were using a closed valley system. I decided at the time to not stop the work since the roof was already partially done and any delays would likely result in the job bleeding over further into the weekend and possibly not even be completed before it was due to rain on Sunday. My wife likes the way it looks with the closed valleys so it's not a huge issue but it's not what was agreed upon.
Resolution: When confronted with this issue the installer immediately conceded the point that the valley construction was an error and offered to re-do the valleys. Since we though they looked OK and the method met the warranty needs we left them as is to avoid any knock on issues involved with tearing off and patching in new valleys. The installer also knocked of the cost of the added roof decking material required for the job which reduced the cost by a few $100. I was satisfied with this.
Worker Language/Disrespect: I may not be a native Spanish speaker but I know enough to know when I'm being insulted. On two occasions while I was walking around the house to inspect the status of the project I heard "Cabron" and "P******" spoken while I was present. I can't say it was directed at me for certain since they were not speaking directly to me at the time but I'd say it's a fair bet the pejoratives where meant for me. Frankly I don't care what your workers think of me as long as they do quality work but at least have the common sense not to insult your customer when he's within earshot.
Resolution: I brought it up with the installer and he said he talk to them. Who knows if he actually did or if it did any good. I wasn?t looking to get anybody fired so this was about all I expected to get.
Damage Caused By Work: Per the pre-construction evaluation instructions we moved everything of value that could be moved away from the house to prevent damage. However, I can't move my heat pump. I did cover it with a piece of plywood though but that doesn't appear to have been enough. Something heavy with asphalt on it, maybe a bundle of shingles, fell from the roof and landed on my heat pump. The plywood I put in place protected it to some extent but the blow lefty a tarry scuff on the body of the unit and broke off the logo. It also appears to have struck the coolant lines going to and from the house. They appear to be intact but the force fractures the siding around the hole where tubes inter the house and broke loose all the weather sealing around that penetration. The same object or another object also hit the furnace vent adjacent to the heat pump and over the window well. the siding was cracked around one of the vents and the sealant around both was pulled loose.
Resolution: I pointed this damage out to the installer. The damage appeared to be largely cosmetic, except for the cracked siding, and the heat pump appear to still work. However, I was concerned the damage might be subtle, a slow leak maybe, resulting in a problem manifesting weeks or months later. I requested only written assurance that if a problem did develop that
they?d cover the cost since I?d met my end of the bargain in trying to protect the heat pump. The installer went one better an had an HVAC person come out and check the system right away. It was given a clean bill of health, sealing around the lines was re-done and a year later everything appears to be still working fine. This was a more than acceptable outcome.
Leak: The following spring we had a minor leak around one of the skylights. We called the installer in to evaluate they applied a temporary fix but denied the leak around the skylight was the result of their work because they skylights were not replaced. The problem is I remember the skylights coming apart at least partially when they did the flashing and snow/ice guard around them but I don?t have proof so there?s not much I can do about it. The temporary fix has held fine and hopefully will continue to do so until we get around to replacing the skylights.
Resolution: None except the temporary fix which they did not charge us for. If I could find the photos of the skylight
from before the work to show that the state of them had changed I might make an issue of it but I can?t find them so that?s about it.
Miscellaneous: There were numerous small issues like a missing piece of drip edge or on a short section or less than perfect cleanup but nothing major.
Resolution: The installer was pretty good about sending someone out to address the 5-10 misc. minor things I noticed about the work in some areas. I was satisfied with this.

"Thomas and Micheal were AWESOME! They had great attitudes, were on time, and knowledgeable. They hustled, were careful with my items, and finished the project in less time than I thought! I will hire them again and request these two gentlemen! They even saved me money at my storage unit...figuring out how to get everything in one unit instead of two like I thought I needed! I couldn't be more impressed."

"My house 80 year old house is 1/2 brick and 1/2 stucco. When I noticed some water damage on one of my interior walls, I took a good look at the exterior of the house and realized that I had a lot of mortar that had eroded over the years and a section of stucco under a second floor window which had cracked and pulled away from the house.
Grover came out to inspect the house and determine which sections of brick would need to be repaired. I really appreciate that he didn't just address the area of the house that was leaking. He went a step further and found every spot around the exterior where the mortar was breaking down. I'm sure that some people would have either ignored this step, or told me that they would have to tuck point the entire house which would have cost me a lot of money. Instead, I got every trouble spot on my house repaired and no unnecessary work done.
The stucco that he repaired looks amazing. He matched the original texture exactly. On top of all this, the price was very reasonable. I don't feel like I could have gotten a better deal for the work done.

"Even though it took awhile to get this service scheduled, since we were both very busy, once scheduled everything well smoothly. In fact they honored the Angie's List Big Deal after the expiration date with no problem or questions. Jason Griggs and another worker arrived on time and were professional and courteous. Jason explained what they would be doing to get the old wallpaper off and said it may take longer than 4 man hours to do and he let me know in advance how much more per hour it would be. They worked very quickly and efficiently and got all of the wallpaper off in 5 total hours. Jason told me what to use to prep the walls with before we painted them and he also gave me an estimate to do the painting of the kitchen and 2 other rooms. Overall this was a very good experience and we were very happy with what was done and with how much it cost. We will consider them in the future for the interior painting once we decide what we are going to do and decide on colors.

"I originally called Hall's because I was getting such terrible customer service from the landscaping company we'd selected for our spring cleanup. At the last minute, that other vendor came through, so we didn't use Hall's for that job. When it came time to go on vacation, I called Hall's to mow our lawn while we were gone. They were able to accommodate us on short notice. After returning from vacation, we realized we needed some extensive help with weeding and weed control in our plant beds. Hall's was able to get me on the schedule within just a few days, and the work was done on time. Tim and Bear did the work, and they were a real pleasure to deal with - very friendly and efficient. Tim took the time to explain to me what they had done, which plants were which (I don't know much about plants or landscaping and I'm new to the region as well) and which plants and weeds needed some special attention. Overall it was a good experience and I plan to use them for any lawn/yard/landscaping needs I have down the road."
