"Mark and his team were fantastic. We love our bedroom and bathroom added to our basement! We are very happy with how everything turned out. Every single sub contractor was great to work with as well. Would highly recommend!"

"Brad and Ross were extremely professional. Beginning with a prompt response to my inquiry for a small task we wanted done in our home - they came and looked at our home within a week and then got our project scheduled quickly. Brad made sure to review the original building plans for our home before proceeding with our project to ensure it could be done safely and appropriately. The job was very well done! We had a great experience with Brad Pipe Remodeling!"

"In all the times I have worked with people only have I recommend two of them to my family or friends, but now without a question I can add a third person to that list. John did an outstanding job and went well beyond the exceptations of what I excpeted. Without a doubt anytime we have a home improvement project of any kind John will be the first person we contact. I looked at his ratings before choosing him and all he recieved was five stars from his previous customers and it is easy to see why."

"Excellent design and super sturdy. The inspector was very impressed. John thoroughly listened to what I wanted and suggested a composite instead of wood and am so glad he did. It was initially more expensive but no expense to maintain! Took longer than expected but if you're not in a hurry John will do it right."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Kentwood, MI

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
