Consider an add-on unit if you want to alert the neighbors. Signal range is less than ideal for some window sensors; a repeater (most any 2gig module that is hardwired) of some sort will likely help. Motion sensors are cheap looking and do not inspire confidence. Tech support answered quickly and walked me through a technical question about adding a second keypad to the system. Cellular communications are far superior to ADT system at previous house. I do not like the contract renewal clause."

However, I think these alarm services are pretty much the same and I would advise people to call around for prices. The installation is one thing, but be careful about the monthly fees, which can be high to cover the cost of the equipment. After my contract expired, I was able to negotiate a monthly fee that is about half what I was paying previously."
