Joseph and another member came within a couple of days to assess the situation, make recommendations, and take measurements. Joseph then emailed pictures of various granite slabs since I was unable to get to their site, and within a week his team installed the top, offset sink, and my faucet. Both their installer and plumber readily answered all questions. Also, because I have add'l bathroom remodeling to do, I asked Joseph for any recommendations he may have for providers with whom he's worked who do smaller jobs and are good. He did make some recommendations and responded quickly to any questions I had regarding these providers. "The company utilized a "pull-and-replace" technique as follows: 1) excavated the water pipe at the house and at the street; cut the water line at those two places; 2) ran an 80 ft. steel cable from the street to the house; 3) attached a "pyramid-knife" to the steel cable and then attached the copper replacement pipe to the pyramid-knife. 4) tractor-pulled the pyramid-knife and copper tubing through the old poly-tube pipe, cutting it as it went and replacing it with the copper pipe in one continuous operation. 5) all excavations restored to original condition at close of the work. Process was ingenious and saved all of my trees from root damage (and potential dying in a couple of years.) No digging trenches. The technician was completely professional, competent and courteous. He explained each step as it went. He was also clearly proud of his work and finished every step with complete attention to detail, thoroughness and professionalism. The job took about six hours to complete and went off without a hitch. I am completely satisfied with the work and recommend this company highly ."

"I had some issues with my 10 year old furnace and started looking into issues. I used to work for Carrier as an HVAC researcher and tried to fix the issues myself. I disassembled the burner and tried to get things right. In the end, I exhausted options and gave up on repair. I called my serviceman, trying to have the furnace repaired. He recommended getting a new furnace or replacing the whole HVAC since it was more than 10 years old. My serviceman gave me a quote for a Carrier furnace, which I thought was high since I knew the price of the unit (ex-Carrier R&D engineer). That was when I decided to look around. I received three quotes after reading through reviews in google and Angie’s list. In the end, I chose ARS Manassas by virtue of their overall competitiveness. In any business, it takes two things to win a deal: trust and value. In my case, one salesperson, Cliff Allen (who I will talk about more in a minute) delivered both aspects, which made the decision easy. Since I know the HVAC system in and out, I had many detailed (and even tedious) questions, to which he answered professionally with knowledge and courtesy. He did not try to upsell anything. In fact, he recommended to check a few things for repair, even while giving quotes for me. Although I decided to get the new one in the end after trying a few more attempt for repair, Cliff earned my trust and respect in the meantime. He tried to provide an optimal solution in terms of price and performance, which was more competitive than the other two quotes. I ended up getting 16 SEER performance series furnace and AC. Cliff truly knew what he was doing during the selection process. He answered all the questions an ex-Carrier R&D engineer raised and provided several quotes for comparison, which helped me to reach a satisfactory solution in an efficient and rational manner. He never tried to upsell, clearly understanding customer’s side. To the contrary, he did his best to give me the best deal without compromising performance. His professionalism does not stop at sales. He went over all the items in the specifics of installation, meticulously jotting down any notables in the contract. I was not surprised to see the technicians, Michael and Melvin, show up on time and finish the job, following the specifics and notables that Cliff had prepared at the contract phase. They tried to make the installation smooth and went over every single item to make sure that it was done to perfection. About a month later, the town inspector came out and made sure that the unit had been properly installed. The inspector confirmed that the job was done to the standard but pointed out that it would be better to add another bracket to the outdoor unit so that it would not move around. I called ARS to inform the findings of the inspection. ARS has promptly scheduled another visit (even if they could have waited for AC checkup in the late spring) to fix the issue. This time Jeremy and Josh came out and meticulously fixed the issue. These two gentlemen really knew what they were doing. They went a lot further than just adding a bracket. The outdoor unit is so sturdily attached to the bracket now that even a hurricane would not shake the outdoor unit. My kudos to Jeremy and Josh. I will come back and write a further review in 6 months to report any issues I experience but for now, I am glad that I chose ARS Manassas for new HVAC installation. If you ever need a new HVAC near Manassas area, the choice is simple. Go for a trustworthy and knowledgeable man that would deliver the best value for your investment, Cliff Allen at ARS."

"The project has taken more time than anticipated due to material and subcontractor availability. The framing work was outstanding. Wall board work was also outstanding. Electrical work was very good, but the location of a bathroom fixture and chair lift power plug had to be moved because they were too low. The tile work in the bathroom (shower and floor), computer room (floor), entrance (floor) was outstanding, but I'd rather call it amazing. The plumbing work was very good, but parts availability delayed completion. Finishing work done by MJL was outstanding!!! Anthony is a master at detail. The rigor of MJL inspection of work by the subcontractors was very thorough and when issues were identified were recorded and worked off. Communication and follow up is a big deal for home improvement projects in this challenging environment of material, parts, and workforce shortages. MJL excelled in communication. We rated punctuality as good but would have rated them very good if there was an option. We highly recommend them. We have since booked two additional projects with MJL, a screened in porch and a garage redo. They start in late July. We expect both projects to go very well."

"CSI was flexible and was able to schedule a home inspector the day after I got a bid accepted on a house. The inspector, Patrick, showed up on time and the inspection took about 4 hours. Patrick was responsive to any questions I had by email or live during the inspection. My one recommendation is that I requested a pest, mold, radon, and home inspection. It would be a better heads up if they explained that they sometimes outsource the radon inspection depending on availability of radon inspectors. Also, they can explain a bit more for new home buyers what is involved with a mold inspection. Patrick ended up just eyeing whether he spotted any mold. Because he did not see any mold, we did not have to pay extra for mold samples."
