He even pointed out multiple things that weren't coming clean while doing the job that I would have never have picked up on. Most people would have taken the money and gone, I would've never noticed. "Work was done within time frame stated. Old carpet that had been there for years taken up and vinyl plank floor installed. All garbage removed. Area was clean when work was done. Had a small issue that I noticed with a threshold after installation was complete but it was fixed and I am very pleased with the way it turned out and the flooring looks great. "Kathy gave me advice on how to proceed which was what I was looking for. Our first conversation was on July 29th and the job was done on August 19. I was hoping to match my existing hardwood. However Kathy was upfront that this is very difficult to do as existing hard wood in my living/dining/kitchen is 15 years old and has aged. Kathy provided a sample that I agreed seemed to blend well. Now that the floors are installed, you can tell that it is different wood in the bedrooms, but I feel like Kathy was upfront about this. "Jeff May and his crew did a fantastic job, refinishing our extraordinary, old growth, wide-plank, reclaimed hardwood floors. We live in a 3-story townhouse, and each floor has a different type of unique wood. Jeff effectively restored each floor to its original beauty, allowing the distinctive features of the wood in each plank to shine through. Moreover, he used an environmentally friendly, water-based, non-toxic polyurethane sealant that had minimal fumes, and allowed us to stay in the house (with our pets) throughout the process. He even found, and stained to match a new piece of wood to fill in a small space, that had been left bare after some remodeling work in our kitchen. It looks exactly like the reclaimed wood next to it. Amazing! Jeff is an artist; meticulous about detail; conscientious and thorough; and extremely knowledgeable about wood. He and his team were very pleasant to have in our home, and cleaned up after each day's work. Finally, Jeff was far less expensive than any other hardwood floor refinishing company that we interviewed. The entire project, including shoemold installation, was under $1500.
