"Nathan was a joy to work with. He was very helpful with ideas to iinstall new outdoor light fixtures and gave us different options to replace older patio motion sensors which we immediately ordered. He offered to return and install them in a timely fashion. I will definitely recommend Harts Services to my neighbors and friends."

"Ryan and crew came to our home for a fairly big job.  Pull tree stumps, grade yard, transplant bushes and shrubs and install 8 cycle sprinkler system and install fire pit.  We couldn't have been happier as Ryan and crew were very punctual and very friendly to work with.  I would and have recommended them!"

"We absolutely love the work that Jack Brawney LLC accomplished for us. They assisted in finding an asphalt company to pave our driveway, successfully resolved our drainage issues, and beautifully landscaped our circular driveway! Not only did they do all of that but they did it quickly and efficiently! One of the only contractors we’ve worked with who kept to the schedule they promised! Would hire again and soon!"

"Working with Dan and Cody at HD Structures was one of the best contracting experiences we have ever had. The owner, Dan Hoffman was personable, knowledgeable, flexile and very professional. He has both a great design sense and he is very knowledgeable in all aspects of construction. He came up with a plan that increased our quality deck space significantly. He was very patient as we decided on colors and other details. The finished deck is absolutely beautiful and now up to code!
When you work with Dan you don't just get a knowledgeable estimator that sets up the contract and then sends a crew that may or may not be as skilled, you get an owner that is there every day, leading the work, problem solving and making sure the work is done well. He does one job at a time, so was fully focused on our project from start to finish. They were prompt, professional, and kept the area neat and organized throughout all phases of the project. We highly recommend Dan an his company!

"I cannot speak highly enough about Tony and his crew.  They are hardworking, very professional, and a pleasure to work with.  Tony was able to take some very vague descriptions that I had of what was not working in my yard, things I liked and didn't like about it, plants and materials that I liked and designed and executed a plan for my yard that met all my needs.  I had originally purchased a Big Deal for 40 hours of labor for $1249 and Tony and his crew were able to do nearly all of the above work within the 40 hours.  I paid an additional fee for an extra 10 hours and the materials, but I know that what I paid Tony overall was half of what other companies would charge.  My one recommendation:  If you're on a strict timeline, you should be clear and upfront with Tony to make sure he can complete the job on your schedule.  He's busy, but well worth the wait.  I wasn't in any rush, and didn't mind that several weeks went by without hearing from him. If that would bother you, let him know upfront.  I will not hesitate to hire Tony and his crew for my next landscaping project.

FAQs for outdoor lighting plan and installation projects in Kingston, WA

Permit requirements for outdoor lighting vary depending on your location and project scope. Simple fixture replacements don't require permits, but projects involving new electrical circuits, extensive trenching, or significant system expansions often do. Local building departments establish these requirements, and many professional electricians handle permit applications as part of their service package.

The timeline for outdoor lighting installation varies based on project complexity. Basic systems might require only one to two days for complete installation, while extensive lighting networks with numerous fixtures and complex wiring needs could extend to a week or longer. Weather conditions, property accessibility, and soil characteristics can all influence how quickly professionals can complete your installation.

Outdoor lighting offers both practical and aesthetic benefits that many homeowners find valuable. Beyond enhancing nighttime visibility and security, well-designed lighting can highlight architectural features and extend outdoor living hours. While installation represents a significant investment, quality lighting may potentially increase property appeal and could contribute to overall home value.

Some outdoor lighting projects are suitable for homeowner installation, particularly simple solar fixtures or low-voltage systems that plug into existing outlets. However, projects requiring new electrical connections, permanent wiring, or integration with home electrical systems demand professional expertise. Electrical work carries inherent safety risks, and improper installation could create fire hazards or code violations.

The operating cost for outdoor lighting depends primarily on your fixture types, bulb selection, and usage patterns. Energy-efficient LED fixtures consume significantly less electricity than traditional incandescent or halogen alternatives. Controlling your lighting with timers, photocells, or motion sensors can further reduce energy usage by ensuring lights operate only when needed or beneficial.
