I also had them replace a poorly installed water vapor barrier with a properly installed barrier and they did a very thorough detail-oriented job. "MJ Frick is an absolute scam of a company. they are charging my mom (single, underpaid school teacher, supporting 3 of her 4 kids still because we can’t support ourselves) over $800 for “labor” that took less than an hour, even though the same company put in a whole new air conditioning system for us four years ago and we have a 10 year warranty with them. we should have spent $0 on this fix on a part of THEIRS that shouldn’t have broken so soon. AND this was after going without air for 10 days in a heat wave while I was sick and my sister had just had surgery, and my sister’s bunny could have died. my mom filed a complaint with the better business bureau and MJ Frick bullied her into taking it down. they have been nothing but manipulative the entire time. I could not be more furious and I want to spread the word so they hopefully lose as much business as possible."

"Very disappointed with my experience. Everything related to the actual work is very rushed. They have supervisors come out before the job is finished to sign off on the work. No one showed me any pictures or talked through what was done at the end. I had to ask one of the foreman as he was leaving if he could show us what was done. He seemed surprised I would ask. As a result we were left with an incomplete repair, trash on our property, and damage to our property. I had to call the salesman to get him to come out and he agreed what we had been left with was atrocious. If I hadn't called we would have been stuck with shoddy work, trash, and damage - that's their standard. We scheduled a call back that was a month out to give them plenty of time to get organized and make sure we were getting what we paid for. I was supposed to get refunded for part of the job and I've never seen a dime. The salesman was good enough to include another jack free of cost which I really appreciated. But on the morning of the call back, the crew had no idea about the jack or where to put it, so it was another morning of trying to light a fire under these people to keep their word. This isn't a dishwasher on the fritz, this is my home and tens of thousands of dollars. The lack of organization and respect for me and my home is inexcusable. So I wrote an email to the GM, thinking he'd take some ownership of what had happened and I'd at least get an apology and they'd work internally on improving. Not only did I not get an apology, he was defensive and said it was a "good repair." If that is the standard of a good repair, I'd hate to see a bad one. I'm going to have everything inspected by a structural engineer and will go from there. I've been treated with more respect buying fast food. Spend your money elsewhere."
