"Originally I wrote a really bad review because the technician who came out to my house diagnosed a part that needed to be replaced and ended up charging me $798 for it.  Altogether, the cost of service with labor, after hours charge, everything all included came to $1,075.00.  The problem ended up being a broken blower motor.  When I went online after the fact and researched the part number for the blower motor, I did find it online for $98.  When I wrote an extremely negative review saying I would never use them again since I was charged $1,075.00 for something that I found online for 98 bucks, the operations manager called me and said that he had been authorized to refund $100 of the money I had paid in exchange for a better review.  I agreed, and would like to update my review now to include the high points.  He did apologize for the high cost.

I was impressed that they would call me back and offer to refund part of my money.  Not many companies out there would do this.

The technician was very good, he was punctual, he was friendly.  He was professional and knowledgeable, he was clean and seemed well educated.  He was also more than willing to go out of his way to get the part and install it in a timely manner.  The diagnosis took about 5 minutes and the installation of the part took about 10 minutes, so it was very fast!  It seemed like a very easy fix - he must have been very knowledgeable because it just seemed so simple.  He really didn't have to fuss with it at all!  That job would have certainly taken me a lot more time since I wouldn't have even known where to start.

I did see another bad review saying that someone called after hours and did not get a return phone call.  I have to say that that was not the case for me.  I called about 5 companies after hours, and this one was actually the ONLY one to call me back before business hours the next time.  So I was very grateful for that.

Altogether I can't say I would definitely use this service again in the future just because it does seem quite expensive for what was done, but the way the problem was handled was very good and it was nice to get a follow up phone call from the operations manager.  I think that if anyone out there is experiencing an after-hours emergency and understands that there will come a cost associated with doing business with such a high quality business, then I would say definitely use them, as they did the job right, did it well and did it quickly.

"Tatum Works showed up the next day, gave me a good price to fix my water leak (much better than the other two contractors I contacted) They finished the work faster than expected and restored my yard to the original state. We are so very happy with the entire project with Dustin and his crew. We would highly recommend this company."

We called the plumber because the toliets were stopped up.  When he came out, there was one problem after another.  Apparently the pipes in the bathrooms were cast iron and had completely rusted out.  They had to jackhammer the concrete in both bathrooms to replace the pipes up to where the pipes were good.  They found mold when they remove the tile in the bathrooms, so they had to deal with that.  When installing the overflow valve in the front of the house they found that the sewer pipes were made out of clay and had tree roots in them.  They had to dig a trench from the house out to the sidewalk and replace those sewer lines and cut down one of my trees.  They also replaced the washing machine hookup and some other things.  After it was done, they retiled and repainted the bathrooms.  The job took about a week, which was less time that Alex, the plumber, had estimated.
I would give everything an A or B, except they left rock and clay pipe fragments in my front yard where they dug the trench.  All other debris was cleaned up.  Some of the tile in the half-bath is not quite level and the paint around the base boards is not good.  The prior baseboard was 3" vinyl, which they replaced with standard 1" wood.  That was ok, but they didn't remove the adhesive from the wall where the vinyl baseboard was, so the paint is all lumpy there.  Also, the door on the main bath is not quite right.  It's functional, but it has a little hitch when you open it all the way.
I'm mostly satisfied.  I'm not sure about the price.  I don't know the going rate for this situation. $17,160.00 is a lot of money, but they did a lot of work.  I kind of wish I had asked for a second opinion, just so I'd be sure that it was a fair price, but I don't really feel like I was ripped off.

"It went great. Had them install a new tank less water heater because our old one went out. Everything went so well we had them come back and install a whole home water filtration system. We love both items. The owner was awesome. She was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend their services to anyone."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Kiowa, CO

Most trenchless sewer line replacements can be completed within one to three days, though this varies based on your situation. Simple repairs on accessible lines might be finished in hours, while complex systems or challenging soil conditions could extend the timeline. The reduced excavation requirements result in faster completion compared to traditional trenching methods.

Trenchless pipe lining may reduce the interior diameter of your pipes, which could affect flow capacity in already narrow lines. This method also requires the existing pipe to maintain sufficient structural integrity to support the new liner. Severely collapsed sections, major joint separations, or completely misaligned pipes might not be suitable candidates for lining and could require alternative approaches.

Trenchless sewer pipe liners are rated to last up to 50 years when properly installed and maintained. Actual longevity depends on installation quality, usage patterns, and environmental factors like soil movement or tree root intrusion. Regular maintenance and avoiding problematic disposal practices (like flushing non-biodegradable items) can help maximize your system's operational lifespan.

Trenchless technology availability varies by region, with greater accessibility in metropolitan and suburban areas where specialized contractors operate. Some rural locations may have limited access to trenchless equipment and expertise. Local regulations and soil conditions also influence availability. A professional assessment of your property and local contractor options will determine if trenchless methods are feasible for your specific location.

Professional video inspection provides the most reliable assessment of whether your sewer issues suit trenchless repair. Generally, pipes with moderate damage, like small cracks, minor leaks, or partial blockages, respond well to trenchless techniques. Completely collapsed sections, severe misalignments, or extensive structural failures might require traditional excavation. Consulting with contractors who offer both methods ensures you receive unbiased recommendations.

Quality trenchless sewer replacement often includes a workmanship guarantee from the contractor. The specific terms vary by company and region, but many professionals stand behind their installation for at least one year. Material warranties may extend longer, depending on the pipe products used. Always request written warranty information before hiring, and understand exactly what's covered and what might void your protection.
