"Carpet was replaced in four bedrooms. Don and his son Preston were the installers. They were excellent in every phase - carpet removal, furniture movement, carpet installation, promptness, efficiency, personality, you name it. Don has a lot of years in the carpet business. PFB has an extensive selection of carpet to choose from, and company employees are accommodating. Over 1000 square feet was easily installed in two days. PFB is highly recommended."

"We bought a home that had been mistreated by miscreants and "just had to have everything cosmetic removed."
The carpet looked like a grease pit and so we called "Nate's" (not listed prior on Angie's) in Prescott Valley and visited. We took in a flooring sample (tile) and talked to Nathan ... he's not crazy but he sure came to our rescue.
While the price 'may' have been a bit higher than the very lowest prices (we didn't look) HIS selection, the quickness, punctuality and professionalism was just outstanding. Trying to get a home ready to be moved into in one week (!) was a daunting task (undertaken by my wife who did work miracles) but the carpet removal and installation (1000 sq ft) was completed in few hours with a just few days notice of our needs. That is remarkable ... we even had to have the carpet "ordered" and brought into the region and still Nate pulled it all together. We are so happy with the install, the folks who did it (great installers) and the quality of the product. We recommend without reservation Crazy Nates Flooring. "You" would be crazy NOT to use them! Thanks Nate!"

"We purchased a 2nd home in Prescott 3 years ago and had Barrett Floors install our carpet, tile and granite kitchen countertop. They did an outstanding job! Since we are only here on the weekends, the work had to be done when we weren’t home. Christopher was patient with us and even texted us pictures during the install when he had a question on the tile around the fireplace. We were so happy with his work we have referred him to several of our friends. Recently, we had Barrett Floors install almost 700 sq ft of engineered hardwood throughout our house along with up our stairs. I have never seen such perfection on a wood floor installation before. I am not exaggerating when I say every cut is perfect and the attention to detail is amazing! He said that he was sending out his top installer, Gary because he knew we were very particular. He sure did! Too notch all the way! We are so happy beyond our expectations on how beautiful the floors look and it was a pleasure to work with Christopher and his crew at Barrett Floors again. I definitely would recommend them to a friend in the future as we have done in the past not only for their outstanding work but also for their very reasonable pricing."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Kirkland, AZ

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
