"It was a great experience over all. The weather seemed to NOT cooperate with us though, but there is nothing you can do about that. What was supposed to be about two to three week job turned into a little over a month, it just kept on raining. At any rate Darrick and his workers were very friendly and professional. The deck was the first thing to get done, we were very happy with the results; it turned out better than we imagined. Darrick walked us through every step he made; showing us the wood he was using, and decking screws as well. He would stop work and have us check what he was doing to make sure it was what we were looking for. The back splash turned out wonderful as well. Jason, I believe his name was, was very clean and made sure that there was plastic on the floor and counter to protect from dirt and scratching. Jason cut all the tiles outside to keep the dust out of the house. The tile work is great! The concrete is what took the longest. As soon as we would be ready to pour, there would be rain in the forecast. He did not want to pour in the rain and Mike and I agreed. About two weeks after the original concrete pouring date it was poured and done. I have to say it looks beautiful. It is stamped and stained and looks perfect! My husbands grill and smoker look sharp on it. The fence was the last thing to get done, and that only took two days. Had it not rained everything would have been done sooner. However, Darrick called, or e-mailed me to keep me in the know and I would hire A & M General Contracting again in a heart beat!!!

"Well, until they left. Randy was to return to 1) replace a cast iron shower pan that cracked during installation 3) fix the buckled vinyl flooring his crew put in one bathroom and the pantry and 3) mount a chimney cap. Never did. But the worst is that Randy took a 200 year old slab of old-growth pine (approximately 30" wide by 42" long by 2.5" thick) salvaged from my great-great-grandparents' home and promise me a coffee table. TWO YEARS LATER I CAN'T EVEN GET THE SLAB BACK."
