They dropped off the equipment one day before the project even though it had snowed the night before. "I was contacted by Jesse with Antietam roofing, we kept missing each other but he called back and got in touch with me to make sure that he understood what I needed done. he gave me a timeframe that he would be able to do it because he was so busy, but he surprised me by calling me at work and said he would stop by since he’d be my area & check my roof & hopefully work on it if he was able to get to it since he had so many. "ARHT Home Solutions just completed a series of home improvement projects that included replacing the entire roof of our home, installing new gutters, and painting our ceiling in the kitchen/living room/hallway and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the level of service and quality of the work done on our home. My husband and I noticed some shadows appearing on our kitchen and living room ceilings and figured that our roof needed some repairs so after some searching on the internet, we ended up contacting ARHT Home Solutions for a quote on roofing, gutters, and interior home repair services. ARHT Home Solutions responded to our inquiry very quickly and well within a week, Michael and Whitman came out to inspect our roof and interior repair needs. They took the time to look at our roof from the outside and also inspected the decking from inside the attic to asses our roofing needs and to provide us with a quote for roofing services. In short and not unexpectedly, their recommendation was for a total roof replacement, not just roof repairs (our roof was already at least 15 years old and had a myriad of problems). Michael took the time to explain the issues he saw with our roof (in addition to its age) and what our roofing materials options were before providing a quote. At each step of the way, he made it a point to make sure that we were comfortable with continuing the conversation of going with ARHT Home Solutions to address our roof replacement and then he took the extra time to work through our financing options. He presented us with a reasonable quote and we agreed on the spot to go with ARHT Home Solutions. Michael took us through every single step of our roof replacement so that there were no surprises on the day it was scheduled to take place. He was on site with the roof replacement crew and sent us updates throughout the day, including videos that showed in what terrible shape our roof was in (it is a miracle the roof hadn't collapsed yet). And though two days were scheduled to finish the roof replacement, he and his wonderful crew had the roof completely replaced in one day, which was amazing because that meant we didn't have to stay in a hotel overnight with our son and newborn baby. They went above and beyond by trimming back branches on a tree in the front yard to help prevent any damage to the roof and cleared out insulation that was blocking an exhaust vent. They did an amazing job cleaning up afterwards as well and when we returned home, you could barely tell anyone had been there at all. The interior repair work/ceiling painting was done two days later and the gentleman who came was very nice, quiet, and worked efficiently - he arrived early and was finished by mid-afternoon. He did an amazing job with the requested repair work and then painting everything. The gutters were installed the following week and the team that arrived were also here on time and installed the gutters in what seemed like record time. All of the work was completed within 2-3 weeks of our signing a work contract with ARHT Home Solutions and everything was done in a professional manner. The personal attention to detail and constant check-ins by Michael and all of the crews was very refreshing and extremely reassuring that our home was in good hands. This has been by far the best home improvement project experience we could have asked for and because Michael took the time to explain the possibility of any additional costs and kept us updated on every step of the roof replacement, there were no surprises. Thankfully, everything went to plan and the costs stayed within the original quote. We look forward to working with ARHT Home Solutions again in the future and whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reputable, caring company to do their home improvement projects."

"When we first contacted Lynchburg Roofing, they had not changed to their new name yet. They are now CENVAR Roofing. I don't remember the date of the initial call, but we were put on a waiting list pending orders in front of us as well as pending weather. When we did receive a phone-call for the date of install, it turned out to be the week of Hurricane Florence. We scratched our heads since one of the reasons for the delay of several months was the inclement weather. Nevertheless, three pallets were dropped off at the top of our driveway. Not a big deal, however, we had made room in our garage for the materials to keep everything dry during hurricane week. Our first complaint was that many of the pallets were not wrapped to keep everything dry from the rain during that week. Most everything got really wet. Some things laid in mud while our two skylights got soaked. Nothing could be done about the roofing materials getting wet, but they did replace the two skylights since the cardboard boxes were drenched and had collapsed. As I said, it was the week of hurricane Florence and things got really,really wet. Our second complaint was installing the shingles while it rained. We didn't think they should be getting wet. We complained, but we were assured by the foreman it was OK. But that begs the question; why then were we put on the back-burner if this could have been done in the rain? Because we were concerned, we did call the manufacturer of the shingles, and we were told they should not be installed in the rain. So that's a head scratcher. Our next complaint was we have a small "covering" over our back deck area that is not part of the main roof. The employees used this area to walk the shingles over to the main roof. Between four employees walking weight, and the weight of the packaged shingles, this was nearly 500-800 lbs. We had to yell at them to get off the roof because it was bowing in the center area. As a result of the weight, we have had several leaks during and after the rain. To their credit, they have sent a gentleman out (a few times) to repair the leaks, but we were discouraged during his last visit because he told us we would have to repair the area in question, soon. We thought that was their way of saying they would not keep coming out. But keep in mind it was not leaking prior. Because of the wet conditions, the grass area where they used the access lift was soaked. This caused the machine to leave large caved in areas where the water now pools. They were great about fixing it, by sending out a landscaper, but it has never really been the same and we have two areas that are very noticeably damaged. We have not called back about the gutter issues because we feel like we have become a nuisance. Water is dripping from the fascia area when it rains. Our final complaint was we felt like our initial complaints fell on deaf ears. During the install things were not communicated very well. We had to ask them when they were going to return since it was raining and only a portion of the roof had been completed.. We really believe they should have waited another week to do the roof, and that would have kept us from a great amount of frustration. After all, it had already been months, so what harm would another week have been. We had called the Lynchburg office to complain (about many of our frustrations) but since this was the Roanoke division doing the install, nobody in a supervisory position (at Lynchburg) would talk to us or return the call, but instead asked us to contact the Roanoke Office. On a positive note we will say; the employees were hard working and professional. We dont think they should have been on a roof while it rains. Many of these things could have been prevented."

"First, they did do a great job on the roof and they did everything the way I asked for it to be done. This is a barn style shed roof that failed in the bend on the roof. I asked for the lower roof to be shingled as a section. Then a drip edge to be installed. Then because of the low pitch on the top section I wanted ICE DAM underlayment installed. Then shingle the upper section to the peak. This eliminates the failure point at the bend in the roof. Everything was done the way I asked for it to be done. They even made a special trip to get the specific shingles that match the house even though a different shingle was quoted. The two things I had issues with that do bear watching. At the end of the day they started putting the ridge cap on without a ridge vent. I stopped them and asked about the ridge vent. Turns out they did not have any with them. I told them, you ripped off a ridge vent, I want it replaced. They went out and picked up the ridge vent and installed it. If I had not been there to say something, they would not have installed the ridge vent. They did not sweep with a magnet for nails and staples at the end of the day. I picked up a couple of handfuls of nails and staples. I fairness to Peak Roofing, Damien the owner called after the roof was complete and asked how things went. When I said something about not sweeping with a magnet for nails and staples, he said he would send them back the next day. I told hime it was not necessary. Once again, overall they did a great job and I would hire them again."

"Selecting a roofing company is hard it is a cut throat Buissnes. There are meny firms promising the world. These guys fell short of a one day delivery but showed up in a timely manner to work on a Saturday to get it done. One word of advice. A re-shingle is a messy job. Expect there to be some waist in the yard. No mater who you hire or what they promise. It is impossible to get it all."

Very positive experience for an expensive project. Gave pricing for roof replacement based on various grades of shingles. I choose one of the more expensive/higher grade shingles. Note that there was no hard sell to select the higher grade shingle. Would hire again."
