"We worked with Mike and his team from the Olney store.  In November of last year they replaced the carpet in our finished basement area, which included a large rec area, bedroom and stairs.  This included removing and hauling away our old carpet.  The work was completed in one day.  We were happy with the results, so we hired them again to replace the ceramic tile floor in our kitchen and laundry area.  This was a much larger job and took seven days.  We are thrilled with our new floor! <br /> I highly recommend this company.  Their responsiveness and professionalism were top-notch.  I wish every service provider which I work with had this type of customer service!  Working with Mike to schedule the job was very easy.   Saeed and his installation crew were punctual, polite and hard working. While the work was being done, Mike called every day to give me a progress update and see if I had any concerns.  The removal of the old ceramic tile was much harder than anticipated, but the team got it done and worked through the weekend to finish the job.  Saeed patiently answered my questions about the tile layout and provided some good suggestions which we took.  He did a dry layout of a small area for me to approve.  Knowing my concerns, they sealed off the work area with plastic to try to minimize dust in the rest of the house.  Tile installation was very meticulous and high quality.  Customer service after the job was amazing.  The dark charcoal grout dried with a white haze and was therefore not uniform in color.  Mike was very responsive when I called him about this three weeks later.  He contacted the grout manufacturer and came up with a plan to stain the grout after it cured.  He even agreed to come by and try the staining in a small area to be sure we liked it.  Saeed completed all of the grout staining and sealing last week, and the result is amazing.  The grout is a uniform charcoal color just as we wanted.  We couldn't be happier.  We will definitely use this company again in the future. <br />"

"We have been very pleased with everything involved in having our rugs cleaned and repaired by Main Street Oriental Rugs.  Mojan <br /> Bagha was very knowledgeable about his craft, and was very pleasant to deal with.  He seems to care a great deal about the rugs he deals with, and took personal affront that a hand-crafted Persian runner had been crudely cut in half by a relative years ago.  We were advised that two other runners were machine-made and not worth the cleaning fee.  Our rugs were restored to colors we did not know that they had, and they look beautiful.  Ratty looking fringe was made to look much better even though we decided that we could not afford to have them appropriately repaired.  The pick-up and delivery were exactly as he had said, and each time he carefully re-positioned the room furniture.   The price was well worth it.  The office was easy to communicate with, and we highly recommend them. <br />"

"Their rep was extremely helpful in selecting a color and figuring out the best width of carpet to minimize seams that might trip one of our little kids. The only problem was that their rep had said the installers would glue the wooden strips to our concrete basement floor. The installers showed up and started hammering them into our concrete basement floor, which is not ideal. Apparently gluing the wooden strips requires doing the glue requires coming one day, and then coming another day to actually put down the carpet. Hopefully the nails in the concrete floor won't cause moisture problems... Otherwise they were great; the result looks great."

"Adrian and his assistant, Andrew, proved once again that Normandy Carpet is an exceptional, high quality service. I needed two easy chairs, a love seat, a couch, and two silk-covered swivel chairs cleaned, as well as my den carpet which receives a lot of foot traffic via the garage and outdoors. One of the silk chairs had an olive oil stain,which now would not be noticed at all, thanks to Adrian's fine attention. The den carpet looks like new and everything else benefited from the cleaning, including a raft of pillows, cleaned at no extra charge. Normandy's prices are extremely reasonable. "After sending an e-mail to Petersen's Carpet & Flooring, I was promptly contacted by Gayle Petersen. She scheduled a time to visit the cabin to take measurements, and after that visit I stopped by the showroom to pick out different flooring options. She provided her expertise as I looked at different options but also gave me space to explore what was available. (She even insisted that I eat some blueberries from her lunch after noticing I was a little hungry!) I decided to use a combination of carpet, luxury vinyl, and solid hardwood in various areas of the cabin. Gayle even made a followup visit to the cabin to help me determine whether the lines in the vinyl I originally picked out would work with the bathroom, which had many weird angles. Ultimately we settled on a different pattern that better fit the geometry of the room. The three types of flooring were installed by three different teams of installers across four different days, and Petersen's Carpet & Flooring worked with me to find dates that fit in my schedule. Each installation team was prompt, courteous, and professional -- I have no complaints about the quality of their work or the finished product. They worked very hard. The final result looks great! Throughout the entire process, I kept in touch with Gayle, and she quickly answered any questions I e-mailed her. Carrie was also a great help, assisting with scheduling and keeping me up to date. The new flooring really freshened up the cabin; I'm glad I chose Petersen's Carpet & Flooring and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.
