I was displeased with the process but my account rep was attentive, appropriately apologetic, and expressed certainty that they would do anything necessary to provide an appropriate level of service. Project time was extended but the final product was solid. It shouldn't have taken three attempts, but Hood's went so far as to bring in a different sub-contractor as to provide solid work. I was pleased with the final product. New home: no problems with any of this work. Scheduling was difficult. I suspect that (as is typical with contractors) Hood's was overbooked / overextended. That said, the work seems to be solid. All in all, I appreciate the end: good work. I'm not sure that they'd be my first call the next time that I need work but I would vouch that they made sure I was (eventually) happy with the business."

They itemized and described the work, which included cleaning off the mold, replacing insulation, repairing joists, encapsulating the crawlspace, and creating a French Drain on the exterior of my unit to redirect the rain. They also set up my dehumidifier in the space with a wireless meter I can read from inside . Their price was in line and they did everything they promised in good order, good humor, and respect. "After calling several roofing companies for pricing and availability, I scheduled a roof maintenance service with Southern Strong because they offered the best price AND could accommodate my schedule. The very next day, Wade arrived promptly, inspected my roof, and then showed me photos as he explained the situation: the flashing around the exhaust fan (as well as other places) was not properly sealed, and there were several exposed nails and penetrations. After he caulked the exposed nails and re-secured the headwall flashing, he showed me photos of the completed work. He said that if that these repairs didn't solve the problem, he would recommend replacing the flashing and the affected shingles. It is now seven months later, and I haven't had a single problem with the roof since then. I highly recommend Southern Strong Roofing: they are pleasant professionals who provide affordable, effective, and thorough service. The next time I have a roofing problem, I will make one call--and that will be to Southern Strong."
