We got 4 companies to come and give us a quote.  Two of them were cheaper but they seemed as puzzled as we were about what to do and could not guarantee from future problems. The other company suggested rebuilding the entire deck and was way out of budget. Ryan from Monarch Custom Coatings came with a sample that had several layers to waterproof the deck - we were very impressed that he was very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience with this type of work. "The estimate was very thorough and every question I asked I was provided an in depth explanation. Their bid came in higher then others, but I really appreciated them taking the time to explain why they recommended certain work vs. the other solutions. They also back up their work with a 25 yr warranty. Throughout the whole process EJ was very responsive over email and anything that came up a representative from the office would come to site to check on the work. The men doing the work were always on site before starting time and worked hard. Carlos was very easy to talk to and made it a comfortable situation considering it was three + weeks with them directly underneath your feet, our house on stilts and not much space to work with. They were all very nice guys. All the work passed inspection. Towards the end I think the pressure to finish was on and there were some hiccups in the quality of the finished project, but EJ took good care of us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction in the end. I am very happy with the work and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to get foundation work done."

"The foundation inspector came earlier than the appointment time that was scheduled and only gave me 15-20 minutes notice. While other people would appreciate that I do not like to be caught off guard like that. He was very knowledgeable and performed a detailed inspection and provided me with a quote for foundation improvements. He also recommended gutters and helped me to design a cost effective gutter system which he was going to relay to his gutter company. This was impressive. But when I scheduled the gutter inspection the gutter guy did not even show up or call to cancel. i let the Foundation inspector know about this and he did not respond. I was very unimpressed with the fact that he did not respond or acknowledge his gutter inspector's mistake. While the Foundation inspector was very knowledge and professional, I would not recommend services from his company due to their lack of responsiveness. <br />"
