"My sump pump stopped working late afternoon on the Friday after Thanksgiving. (Critical house equipment only gives up the ghost on holidays. Why is that?!) I called Walton Plumbing after 5 pm. Bill Walton answered and said he could come out the next morning to install a new 1/2 HP Rigid pump. He showed up on time (actually a little early), did a quick and excellent job and by 10:30 am on Saturday, I was back in business. The guy is no nonsense, high integrity, and really knows his stuff. I highly recommend him."

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"These guys were great! The faucet in my bathtub was dripping and needed to be replaced. Because the fixture was so old, it wouldn't twist off the way it was supposed to. It turned into an all day job. They just kept at it (didn't even take a lunch break) until it was done to my satisfaction. (I’m kinda’ picky.) They even threw in a garbage disposal adjustment and taught me how to maintain it-no charge. I will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs and recommend them to family and friends."

"JP and his crew did an excellent job in a timely manner with no high pressure sales. He just gave me all the options and left the decision to us. I now a clean, encapsulated crawl space with a sump pump installed. Warm and Dry came highly recommended by other professionals in the industry."

"Very prompt and gave detailed information about work that was going to be performed. A salesman was let go so I had to make several calls before I found his replacement to get the second part of my job completed. They left a pretty big mess at my home as well as denting my water heater. They did a good job but I think someone should follow up to make sure the customer is satisfied and all of the work was performed correctly."

"It was a great experience from start to finish. Scott came out to do the estimate. He explained what I needed, was not high pressure and did not complain or threaten that the deal was not good for more than 24 hours when I asked for time to consider my options. He was pleasant to deal with and his demeanor had a lot to do with my decision to choose Basement Waterproofing Foundation. The price was in line with other bids, so the deciding factor was his professionalism. Once I decided, they put me on the schedule that week. The men that came do the work were very polite and considerate. They actually hauled the buckets of concrete from trenching the basement floor an extra 50 yards to avoid going through the house at all. They communicated with me frequently to let me know where they were at in the process and what i should expect next. They were conscious about concrete prep clean-up, taking care not to leave any signs they were even there. I would hire again and highly recommend this company."

"The home inspection took about 2.5 hours. The inspector encouraged questions, explained things as he found them, and then went over the entire report front to back at the end. We were given a very detailed report with all of his findings, and he also provided us with some helpful hints along the way, like to purchase a back up sump pump that could operate in the event that ours would fail. <br /> He also set up our radon test which ran for 48 hours and we received an email with the full report right on time, as promised. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Monroe, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
