"I cannot stress enough how pleased I am at the job Julio did. The project was a set of glass interior doors that needed to have the holes for the door knob and hinges drilled and routed. One frame was an existing bi-fold door and had to be set up for a standard door. This was not an easy install and a number of other handymen on the top of Angies list admitted they could not handle the job and others gave me the feeling that they were accepting to do something they were not experienced in. Being that they are expensive doors I kept looking until I spoke with Julio and was satisfied with his confidence to be able to do the job. He came in and did the job perfectly! He was very pleasant and very meticulous. When he was done I asked him about a screen repair on the top of my lanai. The screen pulled out and needed the spline refitted. This would have cost a lot to have a screen guy come out just for that job and Julio took care of it for me at a fraction of the cost. If you are reading my review then you are looking for a handyman....trust me and give him a call,,,you will never use anyone else again!"

"I called Above the Rest on Thursday after our garage door unexpectedly stopped working. They weren't able to see me same day, but had an opening the following afternoon, so I took it. <br /> The tech showed up within the given window and called beforehand to let me know he was on his way (I love when companies do this so I can know when to put my dog up!). He arrived right on time and diagnosed the problem almost instantly. He gave me the price of replacing the part ($95) and I gave him the green light to go ahead with the work. I have no idea if this is a standard price for this type of work, because I've never had this problem with our garage door. But $95 was the walk-out-the-door price for everything. <br /> Once he had taken down the old part, he gave me a thorough explanation of why and how it had gone bad. I love when I get the reason behind a broken item; I feel like I learn so much and can prevent the problem from happening in the future. Turns out, our door had been too heavy for the flimsy old part and had caused the gear teeth to dissolve down to nothing! This explained why our door had gotten so noisy prior to breaking and also explained why we weren't able to operate it. <br /> Once everything was replaced and installed, he even gave the track, springs, and wheels a coating of grease/WD-40 to cut down on the noise further. It's working and so much quieter than it was! Apparently newer, more upgraded garage doors are even quieter, so he advised us to replace the entire door if this one starts giving us more problems, but assured us that replacing it was not necessary now while everything is working. The visit took no more than 30 minutes, start to finish, and the tech was very nice and very informative. Will definitely hire again if I have to! <br />"
