It just rang a bell for me so when I called friday after lunch he (Joel) told me staight up that he was booked on a job in town until mid-week and would not be availible 'til then. I said OK and would call him back. I shut off the water on friday and waited until wednesday. I called back wednesday morning and he said, "Hello George". We worked out a time and his "apprintace" (Daniel) was there right after lunch. A very nice young man. We looked at the situation, I came inside to check the dog then went back outside, Daniel was on the phone with his boss. When he got off he suggested a cheap possible fix. I said let's do it. The pipe was an old one connected to the shed which came down in Katrine, so we cut it off, changed the faucet and that did the trick ! His price was more than reasonable and Joel came by to check it all. Daniel and Joel are great guys and I'd recommend them to anybody ! Can I add a few more stars to this review ?! "Do NOT use Surgi’s AC (Southern Air)!! They are crooks and totally wasted my time and I’m still waiting for them to refund my money. Eddie gave me a quote to move my condenser, $3763 but I could get a $513 “discount” for getting a membership with them ($239 for 2 AC PM’s a year) which came out to $3249. So I paid $239 to get membership and then they send a new quote and voila! No discount. They also charged me $89 for “service call” to come give me estimate to do work which they didn’t tell me about when I called. (My unit wasn’t broken, I just wanted it relocated in my yard.) Then no one will return my calls for two days!!! I finally got through to a manager (“we do honor our quotes, we just had a glitch in the system”) and I should be getting a refund after almost a week and half a dozen unanswered calls. Stay away!"

"A year ago a plumber repairing our refrigerator told me it would cost $300 to fix the broken shut-off valve on the backyard water spigot (the same one where we hook up our garden hose). This week I decided to have the work done but instead contacted Bob’s Plumbing in Harahan, La., because of the company’s excellent reviews on Angie’s List. Frank, who answered the phone, told me the flat rate is $125 per hour plus parts (which amazed me because few companies are willing to quote hourly rates) and that at most I would be looking at a $200 job. He also mentioned I would receive a $15 discount as a first-time customer. Sweet. On the scheduled day Mike and his assistant arrived at the appointed time. Both were professional, courteous and informative -- happy to answer any and all of my questions as they repaired the damaged section of the exterior backyard pipe. They finished within the hour. My total cost for the repair was $156 – literally half the cost quoted to me by the refrigerator plumber a year ago. I am extremely pleased with my experience with Bob’s Plumbing and would highly recommend them to anyone in the greater New Orleans area who values honesty, dependability, a fair rate and, equally important, a job well done."
