"I originally contacted Jay Cope of Abate Retoration. I had water coming in my basement from a crawlspace and basement windows, that I had another party attempt to fix. Adrian and Jay work together. These guys are amazing. The stiuation was analyzed, and quoted in a few days time. I was sold on the service the first day. They also did an encapsulation and covering of 9" tiles on an upstairs floor. They worked super hard and put in long days, as I had an environmental inspection deadline to meet. I would certainly recommend their services to anyone. Thanks so much to these 2 guys and their crew members. After running my own service business for almost 40 years, I am very pleased to have been served the way I did my cusomers."

"Good work in general; our basement no longer sees water for over 3 years now, which is the most important thing. But there were some real issues: The biggest issue is that USW did not adhere to local electrical codes, and did not arrange for a final inspection of the project. So we didn't find out that it wasn't to code until years later, and now it's a big hassle and minor cost to fix and get the permits. Ask your local gov yourself what you need to do for permits and inspections; don't rely on USW! USW said they would seal any foundation cracks found along the way; they didn't do this until I bugged the warranty dept about it (but they did do it eventually). USW sent someone out for the "annual checkup"... over 2 years after the install. It's a good thing they (eventually) did, because they discovered the backup battery wasn't charging. Now I know to check this stuff better myself. Prices also vary wildly and are kind of negotiable (I'd give more detail but I'm out of space)"

"Initial work was acceptable, though they left a significant mess afterward. The real problem began with their ?Warranty,? which must be renewed yearly. My elderly mother missed a payment or two because no reminder was ever sent. When we tried to resolve the issue, Anthony (Tony) L. was extremely aggressive on the phone. Tony L. insisted we would need to pay $3,000 to recertify the work. When we asked about installment payments, he said ?No.? When we asked if they could set up automatic withdrawals to prevent future missed payments, he again said ?No,? even while boasting that they are a national company?apparently one that can?t manage automatic billing. When my elderly mother mentioned contacting the BBB, he threatened to sue her. He then made repeated calls to me and threatened to ?make trouble? with my employer. It is impossible to recommend a company that tolerates this kind of behavior from one of its service managers. Avoid this company."

"Terry came to the rescue again! Recent projects he has handled for us inclide: 1. A deck update. Some boards were in need of replacing 2. A complete bathroom remodel. He took a jack and jill bathroom and turned it into a beautiful handicap accessible bathroom and a powder room. 3. Total roof replacement, code compliant. He even installed a new metal roof. 4. Various electrical projects. Certain outlets needed updating, as well as some wiring issues. 5. Using his connections to reputable tradesman with other skills. Terry either fixes it himself or uses his friends and connections to find other tradesman who can get the job done. Fir example, he used a tile man on the bathroom project."
