Small jobs welcome

"They were responsive and did an excellent job. And we didn't have to wait weeks to get the work done. During installation, they discovered a few scratches on the laminate and rather than install and hope we didn't notice, they got a new piece. The countertop is beautiful and they left the kitchen free from construction dust and debris. I would hire them again."

"The work was done ahead of schedule and the crews were very professional. My wife and I are very happy with the quality of the work and the floors and granite countertop are beautiful. We are giving Floors Galore and the owner, Albert Halfon the highest marks and would have him do more work in our home."

"I purchased 2 cutting boards (one for a chili cook off grand prize for a charity group) and one part of a silent auction set for another charity group! These guys are amazing and their creativity and professionalism is out of this world! I plan to use them when redoing my master bath in the next year!"

"I used Roberto on a kitchen remodel 8 years ago. I recently used him again to remodel my bathrooms. He is an engineer so there is additional value in his opinion, and he has an eye for detail. He and his crew do an amazing job. With my kitchen, I chose a granite with a lot of variation and color. I also have lots of countertops and angles. He fabricated it so that standing at one end of the kitchen, all the lines run in one direction. He made the granite in my bathroom without seams. He is a perfectionist, and it shows. I highly recommend."

"Daniel did a great job.  Tub looks great and he took good care to not mess up the bathroom.  There was a bit of overspray but he cleaned most all of it up.  Tub looks great and now the renters want the name of the company for their mother-in-law's tub.
This was rental property and I will use them again on other properties.
Price was reasonable.  I had trip charge because I was far away but overall cost was still reasonable.

"Absolutely delighted with their subcontracted installers. Professional, clean, helpful, respectful of my belongings. The Floor It Today salesperson, Sean, came out the first time and took very low measurements, thus making his price much lower than other bids we received. When this was pointed out, he came out, measured again, raised his price but didn't change his measurements. The third time, we measured ourselves, called Sean out to re-measure and finally got the numbers right. Our biggest fear was that he would short order on material, installation would begin and we would have to wait until additional material arrived. Very difficult to give a rating on this company as we were not so pleased with Floor It Today but cannot say enough good things about their installers"

"The job went fine.  I was a little worried when they left because the counter tops were cloudy and wet, but they assured me that in an hour or so they would look great.  Took about three hours, but they did come back beautiful.  The master shower looked great after the recaulking.  The work was done by Kevin and Braden"

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Lake Jackson, TX

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
