Their work in the basement was beautiful, came in at budget, and stood the test of time, so we had them back for our kitchen and upstairs bathroom in early 2019 to finish all of the major renovations in our 1952 townhouse. Communication with Mike and Davis was great, we always knew what to expect which was crucial for such a large project. Their crew is respectful, taking off their shoes and sweeping up everyday, covering furniture, etc. They are proud of their work and it shows. We love our new kitchen and bathroom! "This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"NHR did our master bathroom renovation. Everything went exactly as they said it would. No surprises. The workmanship is excellent because they have a team of people who are experts in their craft. For example, for tile install there was one team. For plumbing and electric there was another. I also had weekly/daily updates from various of the project managers. Everyone from the demolition crew to the craftsmen to the management worked incredibly well together. This was the smoothest renovation we’ve encountered. This could be a good or bad thing for you, but they are almost a one stop shop. The only items we needed to find on our own were the mirrors and the handle hardware. They sourced everything else, and installed everything. But if you’re more particular on a specific aesthetic, like the shower head or the faucets, you can let them know this and they will let you do your own styling. I ended up doing that with the bathroom lights for the mirrors. Overall, A+!!"
