"I can't say enough good things about this business. We started using Carpet One Floor and Moore over 20 years ago when we moved into our current home. They have done all of our window treatments and floors, and we have purchased numerous do-it-yourself supplies from them over the years. The in-store service is exceptional. Everyone there is knowledgeable, helpful and professional, and always looks to provide the most value and best support. Mrs. Linda Lucas has an outstanding eye for decoration -- builders talk to her! -- and she will give you suggestions on anything related to home decor. What makes this business stand out even more, though, is the on-going service they provide. If ANYTHING isn't right with installation, they do whatever it takes to make it right. And over the last 20 years, far beyond warranty for our materials, they continue to provide outstanding service, typically at 0 to minimum charge. Todd Lucas can do anything. He is a genius at figuring out ways to keep mechanisms going when the items are no longer available from the manufacturer or replacing a a piece of damaged carpet with so no line shows. He is a consummate professional, expert in all he does. <br /> We are so fortunate and grateful to have found this outstanding business, which epitomizes what you would hope for in a local, family-owned store. I am much looking forward to having Floor and Moore complete all window treatments and floors in the new home we are currently building. I have to give them my highest, unqualified recommendation."

"We had a very good experience with Creative Carpet. From the very first email inquiring about a quote, Valarie was responsive and quickly addressed all of our questions and concerns. She worked around our (sometimes very difficult) schedule, and made sure that we could get measurements and installation on dates/times that worked for us. She helped us find a very nice carpet that worked within our budget, and we are thrilled with the finished product. <br />"

"PRICE above is estimate!!  I remember for the work they did, the price was great (including the vinyl) but my husband took care of the bill and he doesn't remember exactly what it was. We only paid about $200 for the vinyl remnant 10x12 which was a great savings!  <br /> We were called ahead of time as a reminder. The lady in the store was very nice and easy to work with figuring out our install time and dates over the phone. The removal of old carpet and installation of new vinyl seemed to go very smoothly. The guys were efficient and worked well. I can't think of their names now, two younger guys.  They didn't damage the thin baseboards at all either in removing or reinstalling. They cleaned up their mess and did a very nice job! <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Lakeview, OH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
