"Mel (service technician) called immediately after I contacted the company. He came when he said he would come. Scheduled a repair date and showed up on time. Did an absolutely excellent repair job. This was a small job and he was happy to complete the project. He charged a very fair price also."

"The disparity in the grading had nothing to do with the service actually provided, nor with the professional who did the work.  Firstly, though the deal was pretty clear that the work was for grout cleaning, the coupon was called re-grout, which had me hoping that minor grout replacement could be done.  It couldn't.  Secondly, the professional informed me that the company no longer performed cleaning of shower floors and walls, as they are more difficult and costly to clean and it is difficult to perform  a satisfactory job.  This was expressly contrary to what the deal explained, and it was the only reason that I bought the deal.  The professional did a great job on all of the floors, but was not empowered to make it right by either cleaning the shower or discounting the additional work in lieu of the shower work.  He did advise of a way to do the work myself, but of course that defeats the purpose of buying the deal.

"It went very well.  The tub in our original 1931 art-deco bath was in generally good condition, but the bottom was showing 80 year's worth of wear, so we decided get it reglazed.  After researching various options, I came across Tom Horvath's name in a local newspaper article about bath refinishing.  I used Angie's List to get his contact information-- and found his excellent reviews-- and sent him an email.  He called me back the next day, explained what he did and what it would cost and we scheduled a time to do it.  He and his son arrived right on time and got to work.  They are both professional, efficient and friendly, and I enjoyed talking with them while they set up. The quality of the workmanship and the care they took to avoid getting the glazing material on the floors and tile were both outstanding, as was the re-caulking.  It looks like a brand-new tub, it's actually a bit less slippery than it was, and we are very happy with the result.  Tom even gave me a few good tips on a couple other projects I was working on the bathroom, which worked out and were much appreciated!"

"We originally did a report on this company when the work was performed. We rated this company all A's. About 6 months after the install, we noticed that a tile was cracked but we did not do anything about it. A year after the install, we called Tip Top Tile back to the house because we notice there were about 10 tiles cracked. He came to the house and very quickly indicated that it was not an installation problem that it was a problem with our tiles. He indicated that they were poor quality. He also stated that there was nothing more he could do. Bob never informed us when he was installing the tiles that they were of poor quality. Actually, he said they were average quality. If he would have indicated that they were poor quality, I would have purchased new tiles. Bob also never made us sign anything indicating that the tiles were poor quality and that he was not responsible if there was a problem down the road. Here we are three and a half years later and approximately 30 - 40 percent of our tiles are cracked.There are jagged edges and we have cut ourselves while cleaning the floor. It is very dangerous and the floor has to be replaced. We contacted other installers and each installer indicated Bob did a poor job because he did not put thin set down before he put the cement board down. Bob cut corners and we are now paying for it. The floor is still shifting due to the heating and cooling and the tiles are cracking. Average price to have my floor ripped up and a new floor installed is approximately 8,000 to 10,000. We contacted an attorney and discussed the case with him. The attorney agreed that corners were cut and that it was the fault of the installer. The only problem is that we only had two years to seek legal action and we were to late. If you use Tip Top Tile, please beware. We will not use him again."

"I had all brand new interior doors installed inside my house last winter. Three of the doors were sticking and would not close at all. I called On The Job, left a message detailing my problem, and a short time later I received a call from Bob. I asked if this was the kind of job that he would do and he stated probably but he would like to come out and check just to make sure he knew just what the problem was with the doors. He came out that same afternoon (I think it was 6/6) and scheduled the work to be done on Saturday morning (6/11) since he was involved in other jobs. On Wednesday 6/8, I got a call from Bob that he had some free time between jobs and asked if he could come that afternoon. He and Jeff showed up and had the job done in about 2 hours. They did an absolutely beautiful job. And, no wood shavings were left anywhere at all. They were very organized, professional, prompt and extremely clean workers. I would not hesitate for one moment to recommend On The Job to anyone who needs repair jobs done. I have every intention to have them back again when I have another problem that needs repairing. "
