"<p>The tile floors in my mother's 1971 Chicago bungalow were installed more than 20 years ago and the grout that use to be white was almost black.  My mother was thinking about replacing the floors, but that would be expense for an 84 year old senior living on a fixed income.  I asked her to try Grout Works.  They had previously done an excellent job cleaning and sealing the grout on my floors a few years ago (August 2012). She agreed and I contacted Jim at Grout Works for an estimate.  Jim met me at my mother's house a few days later to write up a proposal for the work needed.  His proposal was reasonable and included a 10% senior discount for my Mom.   The actual cleaning and sealing of the grout was done two weeks later by two very pleasant and hard working men (Mike and Derrick) from  Grout Works.  They worked nonstop from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.  The job was not easy, since my mother's old floors had a few areas where the grout was completely missing and needed to be replaced.</p> <p>The finished job was excellent.  The grout sealant is guaranteed for five years and does not require a special cleaning product to maintain its luster.  My brother stopped by while Mike and Derrick were still working and he could not believe how nice the floors looked.  I have nothing but praise for Grout Works for another job well done.</p> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"A few years back high quality, shiney marble was installed in my foyer and kitchen. After several months I noticed the floor began to dull and not long thereafter it went completely flat; no luster at all. The propieter/installer advised it had to be sanded and polished to get the beauty back. I hired a marble and stone compay that had been in business for 30 years to restore the marble. It came out nice at a cost $1,800.00. Within a few months the marble got flat/dull and by 8 months it was completley dull. I was disappointed. I did not understand why the luster and beauty was gone again and why other people with marble floors did not have this problem. A few days ago I went on Angies List in search of a restoration specialist, preferably near my home with excellent ratings and honest positive feed back from customers. I was impressed with the information about Mr. Marble so I called. The owner himself returned my call w/in 15 mts. He was curtious and spoke to me about the floor in order to obtain the history. I was really impressed when he asked to look at it, assess what caused the floor to dull and any other issues he might find. He came the following day right on time. Within minutes he told me the floor had been cleaned with vinegar and someone put wax based product on it. He was absolutely correct! The cleaning lady used vinegar and I applied a wax in hopes to get the floor to shine. He explained that vinegar eats at the marble (I did not know that) thus ruined its natural beauty, and the wax yellowed and should not be put n marble ever. (I did not know that either). He / Mr. Marble advised that if I want the marble to be strong, shiney and beautiful for a long time he recommended: A fine diamond sanding, A cleaning, Polishing and A seal. And he told me how to clean the marble (very easy process) and what to do when water/liquids get on it (also very easy process) that will keep the marble strong and brilliant for years. No one told me that valuable information before; not the people who installed the marble and not the people who sanded and buffed it previously. I knew then that he / Mr. Marble was the person to restore my marble floors. He did the restoration and the marble looks better than when it was first installed! It gleems like polished diamonds.
