"My wife and I have acquired the services of Borjas Handyman multiple times over the last few years for various home repair/remodeling issues. His workmanship, as well as the sidemen that he employs is always impeccably done, and at a fair price. We would highly recommend him for any homeowners remodeling needs! Al Campbell"

"Mark and his crew were great. We needed a door frame repaired, crown molding, and door handle/bolt replacement. Work was reasonably priced and they completed the work in a timely manner. I appreciate that they cleaned up afterwards as well. I will definitely use them again for home repair."

"Noel is an outstanding professional painter. What impressed us most is that he truly never cuts corners. A neighbor recommended him to repair our ceiling, and the results were unbelievable?you would never know there had ever been any damage. During the repair, we noticed that he redid part of the work on his own without us saying anything, simply because he wasn't satisfied until it was perfect. Because of that experience, we hired him to paint all the stucco on our house. The project is still in progress, but we've already had several neighbors stop by or call to tell us how much better the house looks every day. It's rare to receive compliments before a job is even finished. If you're looking for a painter or someone to repair your home, we highly recommend Noel. His craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail are outstanding. Will post the photo here when the job is completed."

"I hired American Painting to repair a water damaged stucco wall as well as the lower part of my stucco house and to also repaint. Curt and his crew did a wonderful job. It looks like new. Curt was a pleasure to work with and agreed to all my requests without complaint. Job was done on time and I am very satisfied with the final result. I would not hesitate to recommend or to hire them again when it comes time to paint my entire house."

"Fast, professional and quoted a very fair price. I was blown away by how beautiful the work was, that I have gotten estimates on 4 other scopes of work at my home (wall, concrete walk way, refinishing uneven concrete slab addition)."

"Original scheduled date for painting was not convient for Phil.  Had to reschedule which was not very convient for me.  They performed the work well and I was pleased with the result, however the paint smell took 3 weeks to disapate --possiblly because of the paint used and/or because the weather was hotter and could not open all the windows and doors and contributed  to my displeasure with having to reschedule when weather was an important factor.
I have some reservations about using them again.

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Las Vegas, NV

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
