"This is the second time that I have used Loayes Painting. The first time they repaired a ceiling with water damage. This most recent time, they repaired several drywall nail pops, plastered over the repairs, and painted my upstairs hallway ceiling. "I hired this company based on reviews from Angie's list.  My experience was a bit different than the A + rating they had.  The answered my call for a quote and arrived on time.  The communicated in Spanish about everything.  We all walked the house together and I pointed out everything that needed painting.  We had a discussion about the master bath, the last words I heard George senior tell me was "we can fix this".  They quoted me a price of $3400.00 and said if I got everything done at once, he would take $200.00 off.  I didn't get other quotes because I just moved in and time was a factor, so I can't really comment on price.  During the week, they dropped of a large paint sample thing to make may choices from.  They arrived early to start the two-day job, a Friday and a Saturday.  They finished the job on Saturday, as promised.  My master bath was not painted, the wood on the steps was not painted, they removed all the drapery hardware and it was tossed out apparently, they took a blind down in the master bedroom and I had to remind many times for them to fix it, they did with crazy glue.  The walls and ceiling are beautiful but the trim is horrible.  I am still painting over spots that were missed or the paint was wiped off when they cleaned the floors.  There was a quarter sized drop of paint on my maple dining room table.  There was a large spot of white trim paint on the colored wall in the hall, but worst of all I continue to clean small spots and areas where there is white paint on the oak floors. They did do me one favor and lift a TV back up above the fireplace that had been taken down for painting. They did leave all the extra paint in the basement, one bucket not closed and has a paint roller floating in it.  The worst thing was them teasing my dogs and getting them agitated and pushing each other towards them and laughing.  Overall, I don't think I had an "A" experience.  Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again.

"The tape on the seams of the drywall on my first floor ceiling were cracked in several rooms.  I received an estimate from Goode Design but ended up not getting the work done until almost a year later.  They patched the cracks in the three rooms where it was an issue and painted the ceiling bright white per my request.  This work took place in the Fall of 2015, I'm not sure of the exact date.

The Good: Overall I am very happy with their work, the two painters were hard working nice guys.  They showed up on time and got right to work moving furniture and prepping walls.  The price was reasonable for ceiling work and it looks much better.

The Bad:  There was a mix up in scheduling and nobody showed up for the first appointment.   The only negatives regarding the work performed were that they missed one small spot, hung up my curtains backwards and nicked a wall ( with a ladder I assume) but these were all very minor.  The seams are becoming noticeable again after several months but they are not cracking and I hope they don't.

Overall:  I will definitely use Goode Design again in the future and recommend them 100%."

A few days later he provided me an estimate for labor and material. The estimate was fair and I contracted the work. The crew came as agreed and they completed the work in just a few days.
