"George came to price an outlet installation for my new washer. He was so direct and honest and reasonable that I hired him to do it on the spot. Two weeks later the light in my bathroom ceiling fan went out. I called him to come out and instead he diagnosed the problem (correctly) through text and led me through some simple steps to fix it. If I could cook like my mother I would have baked him a pie. Instead I'm writing this review so that everyone knows what a great electrician and person George is."

We're planning on a complete re-do within the next few months, but couldn't survive as is and didn't want an expensive replacement that we'd just rip out in a couple of weeks. He told us he wouldn't leave until he had it fixed and he was a man of his word. He was able to rebuild stems that were at least 30-40 years old. He stopped our leaks and got us fixed so we now have months before we need to get someone in to rehab the bathroom. It's the difference between negotiating a rehab standing on a tightrope and negotiating one with your feet planted firmly on the floor. I have no doubt that he saved us more on the rehab than we payed for the repair. He also installed a new kitchen faucet while he was there. MillTown is now our first and only call for our plumbing/heating/AC/drain cleaning needs."

"Because my furnace is old, I am expecting to replace it at any time. They came and told me all I need was a capacitor and got it fixed in less than 15 minutes. They can easily tell me that the motor is no good or it is time to get a new furnace and I would have gone for it. But these guys are very honest. The service fee to just show up is the cheapest I have found."

"The personable owner, Tony Del Papa, came out to give us
an estimate for installing exhaust fans in our bathroom. Since we
hadn't bought the fans yet, it was helpful that he told us what to
look for and suggested a particular brand. We then ordered fans
through Lowe's.
The company was prompt with returning calls and providing a written
estimate in the mail.
Once we had an appointment with the company that was going to vent the
fans, we scheduled Village Electric to come out several days before
that day.The two workers who came out were courteous and arrived within the
hour time window we expected them. We tested out the fans and they
worked fine, but we waited until they were vented to the outside to
actually use them.
The quality of the electrical work performed was good, but we had a
couple of minor issues, which is the reason that we gave a B for
professionalism. To install the fans, the workers had to go into the attic.
They had to move some insulation from the attic floor
and did not roll it back into place when they were done, and the
insulation batting covering the attic hatch mysteriously disappeared.
 
Also, a piece of ceiling that needed to be cut out was left in the
attic instead of being discarded. Replacement of the junction box for
the master bathroom light/fan switches caused a ceramic towel bar to
partly detach from the wall.
We have used Village Electric several times before, and this is the
only time anything like this has happened. We informed
them about it and don't expect to have any future problems, so we will
use them again.
