Ed might just have earned his counselor credentials as he guided me through some uncertainties, even calling me late one night from home after receiving a distressed email about a decision I was making. He ultimately helped steer me towards a cabinet line that fit my desired look, features, timeline, and budget and helped me see the pros and cons of the choices made along the way. He never pressured me and was able to accommodate a seemingly impossible timeline. He even came out to measure twice without complaint when my contractors weren't ready the first time -- not at all his fault -- but he was gracious and kind and took it in stride. Ed was personable and easy to work with and I never felt like a number in his book. When we received our cabinets I wasn't happy with a couple doors (normal issues you would anticipate with a large order and a perfectionist on the receiving end) Ed worked with the vendor and had them replaced and shipped immediately to me and the job wasn't delayed. The vendor even called direct to ensure I was happy with the replacements. It is clear MLK has a strong reputation with their suppliers. "Used AJ Perri in past satisfactorily but now... Furnace checkup rattling sound, tech said was due to inducer fan motor needs replacing (ball bearings). Signed agreement for $2,300, they were going to order a replacement, paid $1,175 deposit. Cancelled work before the tech left as we were going to have it done later - also looked up the cost of said motor on the manufacturer web site only $209! Billing department unavailable to have the "pending" charge removed from checking acct. Found cancellation form in paperwork, only includes mailing address with a 3 day only grace period (?). Unable to fax form as a fax # (on a different form only) just rings & rings. Had to scan and email form to general "info" address. Unable to get through to billing dept, never available. Given direct phone # for said dept which gives a recording "voice mailbox not set up" then disconnects. Homeowner fixed all rattling noises for $0 - was only loose screw inside fan motor mounting bracket. Not refunded yet."
