"They looked at the sump pump and gave me a choice of ways I could solve my problem. They repaired and showed me and explained the repair. They were very neat and cleaned up after. I would recommend them to anyone 👍"

"Inspection of a previously installed sump pump system (primarily the sump pump). Inspection found that it seized up and wouldn't have functioned. Replacement made - and very fortunately - since when the pump is needed, it IS needed. It wouldn't have been good to have a flooded basement or have an upcoming flooded basement."

"<p>Right from the get-go these gentlemen were impressive. I called late on Monday to schedule an appointment for an estimate and they were here first thing Tuesday morning. After receiving the estimate (calculated on the spot) I was pleased, and asked when they could do the work. To my amazement the reply was "how about tomorrow?" and  I immediately said OK. </p> <p>They arrived promptly at 8am and immediately began work. I provided the sink faucet and bathtub drain. J&J Plumbing provided the sink drains. I asked if the drains were brass and was pleased to see that they were using quality brass fixtures. Another plus for these guys (I hadn't discussed the drains except to say that they would provide them).</p> <p>Immediately Josh and Justin got to work. They consulted with me whenever they had any questions (i.e. my preference for the routing of the sink drain line in the basement). They were very careful, and even put down "furniture blankets" to protect the tile floor in the kitchen. Josh and Justin made sure that debris was contained in the work area as they progressed. Upon completion they ensured that the work area was policed and clean. </p> <p>While testing the new kitchen faucet a small weep was discovered at the junction between the flexible hose and nozzle assembly. After careful examination it was determined to be a defect in the faucet assembly (purchased on line). He suggested that I contact the manufacturer and that he would be happy to come back and install the replacement parts.</p> <p>This is a relatively new company that I feel fortunate to have found and I would highly recommend them. In fact I have already scheduled some additional work. While trying to isolate the water supply in the house it was discovered that the isolation valve was leaking by. I am going to have them replace the old leaking globe valves with new ball valves. </p> <p>One thing to note was that I forgot to specify the use of ball valves wherever possible and ended up with a couple of globe valves instead. MY BAD- Next time I'll remember.</p> <p>I could NOT have expected anyone to do better than these guys. I feel lucky to have found them. </p> <p>I had called several others (also listed an Angie's List) and either received no response or a very delayed response. <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"Most of the employees are very knowledgeable. they arrived promptly and pinpointed the problem. They were able to repair the problem and everything works well now. They also replaced our water heater a year ago and did a good job with that."

"This is the only plumbing company I will call when we have an issue! Over the weekend, our well pump stopped operating, and our home was without water. Another company gave us an astronomical estimate for replacing the pump and pressure tank. Within hours, Jack had us on his schedule, and the next day, his crew had everything replaced and operational for a fraction of the cost. Everyone was friendly, helpful, competent, and extremely efficient. Hire this company without a second thought! They will exceed your expectations. Thank you, Crawley Plumbing!"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Lebanon, CT

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
