"First of all, the owner, Rick is the one that I initially met with after inquiring about an estimate. After my call to the company in the morning, I received a return call from Rick who informed me that he will come out to my home the following day in the a.m. The following day, Rick called and informed me that he will be at my home within 30 minutes. He made it there in 20 minutes! Rick was professional and personable. After his physical inspection and evaluation of the problem areas he went on to explain the anticipated repairs in detail. I received the written estimate the following day as promised. Rick informed me that they are busy and it would be approximately 4-6 weeks before a start date. Rick assured me that I should not have any increased problems during the waiting period. However, if a problem arises, his crew will make me a priority. However, if my situation I agreed...So far, so good! A Few weeks after, I received a call from RIC Plumbing asking me if I would be ok with a start date of November 10th? I agreed to the start date. They called the day before the job and provided the start time and wanted to know if I had any questions or concerns. They arrived promptl and started work excavating the basement floor around the problem area. Unfortunately, they discovered additional problems with the sewer pipe. A major portion was completely disentigrated. Adam, who is Rick's son, informed me of the issues and went over my options. This issue meant that there is going to be an increase in the original quote and an additional day of work. Anyway, the job was completed the following day. The crew moved and returned all items to their original location. Tarp was placed from the outside door all the way to the immediate work area. At the end of the job, they did a thorough cleanup. The crew had to postpone the other job ( Remove broken drain line. Install new drain lines and a bubbler system for a week to allow wet and soggy soil to dry out. They returned as scheduled and completed the job in 5 hours. By the way, I received a generous discount for paying in cash.......With that being said, I would highly recommend RIC Plumbing. I was Satisfied an impressed with their workmanship, their professionalism and customer service skills. <br />"

"Everything went well from phone call to house call. Needed a bathroom sink unclogged in an old house. Called Ed Youngs and arranged an afternoon to suit. Plumber arrived in good time after calling about five minutes before arriving, looked at the job, explained what was wrong and what he'd need to do, explained possible complications (which didn't arise), looked up the costs of the replacement bits and service charges and other possible bits needed if complications did arise, wrote down the cost of everything to check that I'd be happy to pay for what needed to be done, did the fixing in good time, cleaned the sink after the job, and was pleasant and courteous. I have used the company before and always had good service. I don't know how much other plumbers might charge, and I put a B only because I feel that everything these days is expensive, but for all I know Ed Youngs may be cheaper than other plumbers. However, I trust the company now and would always use them believing that they would not employ someone who was not good and that I could rely on their professionalism."

"This went amazingly well. We had a plumbing emergency as storm and waste water were backed up in our basement. I called Frank's Mr. Plumber at the after hours emergency line. An actual employee answered the phone on the first ring, not an answering service. The only person available to come out was the owner of the company. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY came to my house after hours and did the work himself. The job was done properly, timely and very cost effective. "Initially, the plumber attempted to clean the drain to release the plugged area. Unfortunately, this did not work. I paid $125 for the attempt in unplugging the drain for a previous visit. This particular survey relates directly to the installation of the new line. He showed up on time, took extra care in my home, and cleaned up the work area. I appreciated his attempt to unplug the drain in hopes of saving me some money, but it did not work. He gave me a 10% senior citizen discount."

"The sewer had been clogging fairly regularly (four times between Thanksgiving and mid-January.) I rented a sewer snake from home depot and unclogged it on previous occurrences, but we felt something big must be wrong. So we checked Angie's List to find a plumber that did video inspection so we could get to the bottom of the issue. I emailed the address on the company's website and got a reply within a day stating that they did do video inspections but it would require a cleaning first, which should cost up to $150.00. Then they would determine if a video inspection would be necessary, which would cost another $150.00. <br /> <br /> We set a date and they said they would call when they were on their way. As promised, I received a call saying the guy was on his way. Mike was very helpful and patient. Seemed like he really wanted to solve the problem, not just get the water flowing and run off to the next job. As I had done this so many times before, I hovered over Mike and told him what I had done before and he (patiently) explained to me what he was doing. The things he told me helped give a better understanding of what I had done wrong before and that the system wasn’t actually in really bad shape. Rather, he believed it was the kinds of things were flushing, like quilted TP and baby wipes. These don't dissolve and were getting stuck to the rough sides and joints of the pipes. That, combined with the incomplete job of cleaning I had done likely caused the recurrence. <br /> <br /> He said that he did not believe a video inspection would be necessary, that there was no need for me to spend extra money for something that was not necessary. He spent about an hour working on the sewer making sure it was clean in both directions. <br /> <br /> The actual bill was $135.00, which was under the estimate I was given over the phone. <br /> <br /> Bottom line, I will call Brundage Drain Doctor any time I need this type of service in the future. (And I will ask for Mike!)"
