"We have mixed feelings about Comfort Windows. We purchased all new windows for our entire house and they were installed in November 2015. So far, we have not had any issues with the windows themselves. The installation took 4-5 days which seemed like alot to us at the time but they were not slacking at all and had alot of trouble getting the old windows out and the new ones in. I do not fault the team at our house at all for the length of time they spent at our house. They really worked hard. Towards the end though they were getting sloppy with the trim work inside the house. The first few windows were perfect and the other ones had sloppy cuts and poor joins. We had to have several re-done. We have all casement windows on the front of our house and one of them we've had a problem with since it was first installed. We had to have them come out 3 times before it was finally fixed. One time, I took off work to meet them and he never came. When I called them the next day, they replied that he was at my house, hours before he was scheduled, fixed the problem from the outside, and then left. He left no indication that he'd been there and was on our property without permission. When I commented that the incident was handled totally inappropriately and that the least they could have done was called to let me know NOT to take off of work, I was dismissed rudely. That definitely left a poor taste for me. The kicker was that with a casement window and the problem we were having, there is no way you can tell from the outside that the problem was fixed. So of course it wasn't and they had to come back out AGAIN. The final straw for us was when we were having the front facade replaced a year later by a different company and they showed us how poorly the outside trim was done by Comfort Windows. Had we not replaced the facade, we definitely would have had water damage eventually. Though most of their people were great and worked hard and the windows seem sturdy, I would not recommend this company to anyone. The few times I had to call the office they were very curt or downright rude and the fact that they had to come out no less than 3 times to keep repairing the same issues makes it a fail to me. I'm really hoping the windows hold up because I do not want to have to call them again!"

"Kaz did a great job. Although they were not the cheapest, we wanted quality windows (Andersen), wanted New Construction (Big L would not do new construction) and got good references from two past Kaz customers who had similar projects. Especially important to use was keeping the interior molding (original) in tact. Although project was started after they originally told us, the quality was exceptional. Everything was done from outside so interior molding was not disturbed much. Any that was, was corrected and touch-up painting was done after the project on each and every window. The quality of the windows is great, the exterior aluminum work looks good. The crew showed up on time each day, were very respectful of the interior of the house, putting tarps down and cleaning up each evening. They estimated 2 1/2 weeks for entire job (22 windows) and got it done in less than 2 weeks. We were very happy with the work."

"Robert's was one of several quotes, it was not the lowest, but their reputation is solid.  Also, Jerry picked up on the issue with the attic.  He looked at the lack of soffit and asked if I was having problems.  I actually was having major issues with ice damming and leaks, but my understanding is that it could not be fixed with the way the house was constructed.  He talked through a plan with me where most of the work was actually being done already with the new gutters and siding so it was an inexpensive add-on.  He was right and the house looks so much better with the new soffits, it added great curb appeal.   <br /> Due to being backlogged it did take several months from contract to the start of the job.  That put us on a winter install which took all winter due to weather.  Luckily we had a mild winter compared to normal.  It was a challenge for the workers and me having the exterior off for part of the winter.  But it ended well.  The quality of the work was excellent.  Due to gaps in the work, I was able to see how various parts were installed and layered.  There was a lot of care in how it was installed for water and air protection.  Cuts were made uniform.  Care was taken around utilities and openings.  I am usually a DIY person and do my own renovations as a landlord, I am a picky person and I was very happy with the job. <br /> Cleanup was good as well.  Out of an entire tear-off and re-install I found one roofing nail left behind.  It was impressive.  They returned unused materials to save me money and left any un-returnable materials for me for repairs.  I'll note that there was very little material left over and I like having backup material. <br /> I plan to have them install entryway doors for me in the future. <br />"
