"I have always found Redmond's employees to be friendly and helpful.  They don't "hover" but they will answer any question I have.  Like most gardeners I shop at many different shops so it isn't unusual to find a lower price somewhere else but on average I have found Redmond's prices to be at least competitive if not lower.  Redmond's has one of the largest (if not the largest) selections in the area and always have a wide number of plants to choose from.  That can be intimidating for people just starting out in landscaping, therefore the need for qualified staff, but for people like myself who have been gardening for years it is a pleasure to walk around the place just to see what they have at the time, whether I buy something or not.   I always end up sitting in the shade on a bench by the waterfall to finish my time.  And if you're lucky they will have bagged up some free popcorn for you. <br />"

"Brian called and made arrangements for winterizing the irrigation system on Oct. 16. He showed up as scheduled and prepared the irrigation system for winter. He also made a few repairs at "no cost". He is wonderful to work with and their prices are extremely reasonable. I am so grateful that he services my lawn( I live in Jeffersonville, Indiana) when he comes to Louisville to service other lawns since the company is located in Lexington. But I am now on his list of people that will be serviced automatically every season to have the irrigation system turned on and off without having to call and get scheduled. I am extremely busy working 18 hours a day and this is one less thing I have to worry about. I would recommend this company to anyone. My grass was green, greener, greenest all summer long!!!! I was very pleased with the professionalism and expertise of the owner and his responsiveness. However, I chose to go with another contractor. I would however consider using  Landscape Alternatives in the future. <br />"

"They were prompt about coming out and they did the service that they said they were going to do and passed us information about what they had done.  They were courteous and so on.  However we decided that we would not be using them again after the last fall because we are trying to cut down on our expenses and we have a limited budget and we are just going to do our own work as we can. They said they were going to do treatment for moths and we think they didn’t do a great good job.  We didn’t have problem with their pricing but they are pretty competitive.  We used them because we had heard from others that they used them and liked them."
